Should ATGM spectating mode be back?

In my personal opinion I liked the past removed mechanic they added the last days before, when you were able to control the manual guided atgm while spectating it.

it really gave the missile it full range potential.
reliability in control, and others.

however i noticed the community been really divided about that, some saying it was OP ( and it actually yes ), and other said it should be applicable mechanic in game since we have other similar mechanics like the third person view in vehicles in realistic battles, and others said it should be in due to the realistic mode being placed between arcade and simulator battles, which gives the mode it honesty and mid realism between the two respective modes.

Any opinions? would love to read such.

It isnt really a mechanic that they “added” it is just a bug.

If in first person and for actual man-in-the-loop weapons (like the aj.168 and AGM-62 DL) that currently use a fake TV contrast seeker, then yes.

Would be cool to see them travel in the tactical map again, but the camera attached to the missile its unrealistic and easily exploitable, so no.

yup, pretty much, also what about making it in First view?

That should kind of solve it.

That should only be a feature for MITL missile MCLOS should not have it.

First view? Like you can see it from where the seeker would theoretically be if it had one?

first view would make it even more easy to guide them, so no.

They are not a man in a loop missile to have such camera.

yup?

like assuming the Unguided rockets also had a theoritical Virtual fake tv view that gaijin did not remove it.

Completely safe reload and sitting on helipad with yak 38 and lob a kh 23m every 20 seconds that can dodge top tier spaa trying to intercept, so without counterplay and 0 risk for you in the plane. I see no problem there. Seems like a pretty standard war thunder mechanic. I wonder why they even removed it?

In case that wasnt clear: /s

Those mclos missiles where ok the way they were before. You go long range standoff atgm, you need to know where enemies are or get closer and more risky and you still put yourself in danger while guiding them. Doesnt mean that with lots of skill you could even guide them while dodging radar spaa. They were already very strong before, theeres no need to make them absolutely broken.

unguided rockets would be the key here

If they added a data link Cutting mechanic where if the Way between the missile and the Plane been interupted it ( interferance ) it will Cut the control of the missile.

Both are equally unrealistic, speaking about third view fake camera, Tanks and planes have third person view, what about that?

you cant change the trayectory of such rockets though

but u can control the future salvo location. they work as a recon.

plus its indirect.

That would help, Theres still 0 counterplay for ir missiles spaa or rolands with their absolutely botched missiles to hit a plane cruising in space lobbing them down onto the battlefield. Every plane that would have these would almost have to go to top tier. What are you going to do about a yak23 cruising 20 km away sending these in a Ozelot, Type 93, Roland, Chaparral or M247?

Thats right, nothing. Every NORD carrier like the g91 at 8.7 can just send these from a safe distance while being completely untouchable. Same as the missiles if you just wiggle around a bit when they get shot at. And its not like he will have a hard time knowing where you are. Hint: Its somewhere around the spawn or on the 1km² map. Oh but you also get chevrons like 15 km away when someone gets hit with by anything, even a machinegun? say no more say no more. Oh you can also squad up and have someone scout the whole map and put squadmarkers on the most important enemies from an almost invincible drone flying so erratically that even with proxy rounds (that alost nothing at these brs gets) are impossible to hit.

Except they’re unguided, so you have to fire it outside of that view.

Because you control all of the members in the tank? Which view would you see out of?
Commander Optic? Commanders don’t drive.
Gunner Optic? Gunners don’t drive.
Driver Optic? Drivers don’t shoot.

I bet they did not have Third view camera in real life, only 2 and 1 view.

And rockets Work as recon, even if they unguided, u can control the future location salvo impact.

What argument are you trying to make here? Being able to control a MCLOS missile through 3rd person view is unbalanced, unlike using unguided rockets or a plane/tank 3rd person view. I’m not talking about realism, you brought it up.
