Ships in arb

Thank you for bringing ships back, however the implementation seems pointless since you cant take off from them, and they are so clustered together that you cant target individual ships with ASM’s, the missiles just go for the larger signature that being the carrier, and you cant sink a carrier even with a full load of missiles. This would be fine if I got more than 12 score for hitting a carrier with 6 missiles, otherwise whats the point? The destroyers can be sunk but I had to line up the shot so the destroyer was blocking the missiles path to the carrier, lol.

Please, un-cluster the ships so we can target the destroyers, I’d love to do something new finally in this game.

PS, air to air missiles still seem very bugged.

I was about to write about that.
I tried it but the ASMs hit randomly . 1 went where i send it, the others went to the carrier.
I didn’t kill anything.
How much score for a destroyer kill? Because Carrier is pretty much impossible from 1 plane.

I got around 350 score for the destroyer iirc, which isnt too bad.

Yeah, they wont add ASMs because they would only be of use in ASB and ASB doesnt matter anymore but could easily add naval targets in ARB. Its just lazyness.

As for Carriers scoring so little. Yeah, thats been a problem in ASB for years. Its counted as an AI target no different than a tank or pillbox. Which means it only gives a reward upon sinking it and the ASMs arent not modeled to do any meaningful amount of damage to any ships.

Can you kill 2 in a go?

Haven’t tested it enough yet but I think you could destroy a destroyer in 2-3 hits, so I think it would be possible.

Actually getting all the missiles to hit their intended targets instead of the Carrier will be very tricky.

After trying to destroy ships with the asm yesterday and today and only achieving two destroyer kills, while most my air to air missiles just get crits or miss the target for no reason, I’ve decided to give up and shelf the game for a while.

Still being in this state almost a week after release is unacceptable, air rb especially is just so goofy right now. I thought ships coming back and having ASM’s would add just a little flavour into the game, but now the game is completely broken and the implementation of the ASM is completely pointless, cant destroy carriers with any reasonable amount of missiles, games are over so fast I cant exactly go back for more, and its impossible to target anything but the carrier. Honestly really disappointing.

The carrier can be sunk by a single sov 3000kg from il28/ yak28/ su34. But it gives barely any profit…

Im so sick of Gaijin having the game design skills of an indie dev team of two teenagers in their basement…

I bombed one with 1 2000lbs bomb and I got around 240rp or something with premium. Waste of time since those ships are far away and you can get to the bases or ground targets much sooner.

Gaijin added those ships as a drunk afterthought, 0 effort to improve the gamemode

A singular teen in their mother’s basement has designed better maps and objectives for PVP games than gaijin, I think a pair of them with a decent supply of energy drinks and snacks can beat gaijin’s map designers by a factor of ten times.
