Well then i’d just play the PLAAF Su-35 until they lift the artificial nerf, fairly simple answer there
I posted 3 images of the cockpit in which you can see the layout of all the mfd’s
More below
Not basically, it is
I dont disagree. But without information you can’t just claim its so
maybe pl12a?there is virtually no “A”,they don’t distinguish between early and late, both call pl12
Fairly sure pl12ae is export only
And they use pl15 not pl12a
Signifigantly less powerful than a main array though, possibly not suitable for BVR at relevant ranges
Yeah definitely true, although saying su35 doesn’t have aesa is wrong
Well I was under the Impression that the current PL-12 is an ‘early’ with dumbed down performance to match the AMRAAMs back when fox 3s released, and that a later one (branded PL-12A would come out) with better kinematics could come out, similarly to R-77-1
Current PL-12 is a copy of the SD-10
Which is my point…
We need a newer variant to keep up with the competition, especially as the J-10B/C and J-15/16s start to get added
If I remember correctly,pl12(early) = sd10 and pl12(late)=sd10a?but in the game,they are wrong.
what I know is 180kg with m4 and 199kg with m5,but it’s 198kg with m4
North Korea also made a fox3 from a pl12 i think
Considering most aircraft loadouts in game are fictional they should just add the PL-12AE and name it PL-12A and call it a day

Max launch range 70kg lol
PL-12(early)=SD-10A, PL-12(late)=PL-12AE. The SD-10 is not in service.
a good scheme
The J-16’s radar advantage is largely irrelevant in War Thunder. On a 128km x 128km map, there’s simply no practical value in having a radar with a 400+ km detection range against a 1m² RCS target (which reflects the latest J-16 batch’s radar performance. It’s known that the J-16 has undergone at least three radar upgrades, with the earliest batches featuring a 200km detection range against 1m² RCS). PS: The N035 radar is poorly regarded within the PLAAF—a well-known aggressor squadron in the Southern Theater Command has failed to win any internal “Golden Helmet” exercises since re-equipping with the Su-35, even repeatedly losing BVR engagements against J-10Cs (powered by AL-31FN engines).
