And that’s fair enough, it was part of their doctrine, and if it’s true, so be it.
But so the AIM-120 was superior to the R-77 variants. The point is, most of the tradeoffs on Ground or Air docrines are nullified by the artificial balance Gaijin tried to make, to the point its unrecognizable.
Today Russia gets a pass on realistically losing Air superiority because they get the optimal range to engage, and furthermore they get a powerful enough SPAA to counter enemy CAS and CAP.
Even their long range systems like the S-300 or 400 will be just as good ingame.
Also I don’t think that NATO will have any similiar systems like the Kub or Buk in lower brs.
@ileaveuptiers
Dude, if I could only be friendly with people I agreed with, I wouldn’t be here attempting [due to IRL stress] to be friendly with everyone here.
I don’t care what our disagreements are, you’re cool because of your unique thoughts.
I apologize if my statements ever indicated anything other than me being friendly.
Today is a struggle with a very, very loud house causing stress and distracting me; and I apologize for any mistakes made from poor management of that. It doesn’t excuse my mistakes, and I’ll do my best to amend and do better for tomorrow.
I’ve heard that already on multiple occasions in the past. No one else’s opinions matter to you and being “friendly” does not give you a pass.
Everyones’ opinions matter to me, everyones’.
I prefer them being stated without accusing me or others of things is all.
ALL of your views posted here that weren’t attacks to me I read and cataloged.
Your views MATTER.
@PyroAddict Your views MATTER.
Everyone’s views matter.
It doesn’t matter what your performance is, if I’m unable to imagine how your perspective is correct to you, that’s an issue on my end.
My posts historically do a poor job indicating to others all of their views are acknowledged and matter, so I’m going to do better with that.
Indeed.
I always supported the idea to make full cap loadouts dirt cheap or even remove the extra cost from them.
A good fox3 capable plane is always better than any spaa, but we just cannot use them as they are too expensive.
I remember how the Su-25SM3s were nearly went to extinct after the current fox3 missiles has been added to the game and they were actually “cheap” to spawn for a short time.
Time for me to dispel the Russian bias statements (partially)
While the 2S38 definitely needs a BR bump, it is not Top Tier. Vehicles like the HSTV-L are just better at Top Tier. 2S38 could be around 11.0 and be fine, however we know thats never going to happen due to the amount of sales the 10.3 Russian premium lineup racks up.
The Ka-5X’s glory days are far over, as the Eurocopter and other F&F Helis outclass it now, with the Ka-52 taking the place behind them. Yes, Hellfires could do with a buff.
While the Su-30/4 are both very powerful, don’t leave out the fact that the Rafale and other Top Tier “CASCraft” are still very powerful – we need a CAS nerf as a whole.
Completely false. While the Pantsir is the best AA at Top Tier, that doesn’t change the fact that it is easily defeated by Top Tier CASCraft – It should be the bare minimum for every nation’s top end SPAA.
Spotted the US main
I needed a crew slot filled, and that was the meme tank to fill the crew slot for now.
Eehhhh…
No expert crew for daimler?
This is not an honest opinion, but a joke. I really didn’t expect that you would decide not to spend 1k SL for Brit. :|
I do wish to point out something for everyone in this thread:
You’re arguing over Ground Realistic while having this in the SIMULATOR section.
I primarily expert crew for driver benefits, with turret traverse 2nd, and reload being my 3rd priority.
I also only expert crew when I’m comfy on where the vehicle is placed.
I’d say less than a quarter of my crewed vehicles are expert crewed.
Just a personal preference.
@White_Timberwolf
I mean, my posts are universal. But yeah, people shouldn’t have brought up stats, let alone ground RB stats.
My primarily air sim CAS use was Mirage 2000 cause queue times are harsh.
That’s fair. But I’m also pointing out there is a massive difference between Realistic and Simulator regarding how aircraft perform. Most notably in that while the highest tiers have CCRP map designation and should know by now where all vehicle spawns are, they still have to switch to the TGP view-lock-fire while manually controlling their aircraft and avoiding/distracting incoming hostile aircraft AAMs. All without a third person view.
Even missile SPAA can’t reliably ID-lock-launch a SAM in Sim without going into gunner view, and often the thermal signature of incoming munitions are barely identifiable unless you happened to lock on it as it was released or it’s less than a second from impacting into your face.
???
Let’s decompose the title and tags, just in case:
well it cannot be too bad considering there are mulitple nations that have a similar win-rate compared to russia
there is no reason to make balance decisons unless russia has a much better win rate than any other nation ( 5-10%)
Rip, this thread spiraled.
I think you have the right motivation just wrong direction; KH38s being mach 2 and a large payload is strong, they can overpressure from near misses. And a Mach 2 missile is hard even for Pantsirs to engage and track in mixed everyone vs everyone GRB. (But is that a player issue from shooting lazy mavericks all day or just thin react window.)
Unfortunately Snail balances with statistics, despite this issue being raised a year ago, they now have the data to agree it’s an issue… Now dev time to produce and introduce the vehicles. (In the meantime, mald about dying to CAS in current year at current br meme!)
Pantsir is not the be all end all, and does have weaknesses that can be exploited, a pilot with some effort and skill counter a pantsir. The thing that sets it apart from all other SPAA in game is you must deal with it or stay low, RUS CAS on the other hand normally only die to SPAA due to greed. Spawn in, dump payload, rtb. (Not all, but there is a pressure exerted against teams faced up against the pantsir, vs teams with it.)
That being said I don’t care if I’m being engaged by an Adats, I can ignore it. VT1 slingers are fast but still very manageable. Pantsir’s can defend them selves from ordance, unless you spam everything at them, more than they can track and engage. It’s not op, it’s just the best currently. The Pantsir also having TWS makes it very easy to use, noob friendly.
Idk what snail will do, I think being a tanker getting smacked by the Mach 2 missile is a bit much/ not fun. Not to mention I don’t think a jasso, jasso b, jassom, and other crazy modern weapons would be fun to go up against.
So I think pulling the KH38s would be the quick fix, but they are already on 3x planes. So doubtful. They could do to the worst saclos SPAA, what they did to the 2S6 and give it artificial good missiles and radar to fill gap.
I agree
you can definitly fly high 6-10km from the battle field against all AA except the pantsir (and maybe HQ17 I dont see it enough to know) but doing that against pantsir while theoreticaly possible doesnt allow you a window to launch ordinance where against even ITO90 you can go nose on and roll the VT1
and to add to that unbalance gaijin has given them capable platforms carrying 6 of by far the best Air to ground missile in game, I really dont know what they were thinking with this the KH38 should never have been added and should be immediately removed so people can actually play top tier ground RB
Magic autoloaders that protect ammo from exploding, still happily turning their turret to take out enemies and fire despite the autoloader being taken out, front armor so strong that in game most enemies have to aim and hit the breech/weakspot while Russian tanks are somehow capable of point and clicking most enemies. And that’s before the air supremacy, most modern SPAA by almost 20 years, extremely favourable BRs, etc.
Meanwhile shooting the Abrams virtually anywhere disables the turret drive. The Leo just got it’s second nerf in a short time and one that goes against realism. Somehow the thin mesh meant to protect the crew from spall in WT creates spall instead, and the turret drive is taken out by a completely unrelated system not tied into it nor necessary.
Russian mains in game are the most handheld group there is, and it aint even close.
You can dream as much as you want here. I’ve played enough with and against top Russian tanks to know when a person is lying.
