If nametags were darkenned after severe damage then people would stop stealing my last 20%, and I’d also have higher chance of returning to airfield safely : D.
Just a nice QoL change.

Its so annoying that people try to steal kills on planes that are clearly knocked out, no wings and on fire because they will still get a kill count, if they only got assists after a severe damage is awarded the issue would be fixed
It would be nice if Severe Damage functioned universally across all damage models. Currently, you can take out all control surfaces on some aircraft and it still won’t consider it severely damaged. Alternatively, if you just damage the horizontal stabilizers enough while the actual elevators are still intact it will count as a SD.
Teammates kill stealing a flat spinning burning enemy is still a problem because the game just won’t give you that severe damage unless you take out the one component that will trigger it on that specific airframe.
We do indeed need some sort of indication that an aircraft has been severely damaged. While it’s usually pretty obvious sometimes a plane can lose an engine or part of a wing without being severed
That F14 stock grind has everyone in a bloody frenzy to spade it asap.
