If you ever read Gaijin own guidelines regarding the use of Forums this post wouldn’t be really necessary as I see you’re very misinformed or in this case underinformed. According to Gaijin Community Guidelines: Common Rules War Thunder Forums is a public space, this is descripted on the first section, § 1 Key Terms, para. 1.2 Forum:
The Forum is a public space on the Internet where Users can communicate with each other and share their comments, views, content, and other information related to Gaijin’s Game(s) (collectively referred to as the “Game(s)” in the Terms of Service). The Forum primarily features user-generated content (please refer to Clause 2.10 of these Guidelines).
Assuming that it’s public, I consider that this is a free-to-use or free to participate place, with very little requirements, those requirements being, according to Community Guidelines: Forum.warthunder.com, these requirements are, on the seventh rule Posting limitations on certain website(s):
There are restrictions on posting comments on news articles on warthunder.com (e.g., on warthunder.com/en/news). New Users can only add comments after playing at least 2 battles in the corresponding game. Additionally, there are rules based on in-game activity:
- 3 battles played: Allows the User to post unlimited comments for 1 week.
- 15 battles played: Allows the User to post unlimited comments for 1 month.
- If the User is inactive in the corresponding game, they cannot post comments on the website.
According to the Cambridge Dictionary, the definition of public space is: public: relating to or involving people in general, rather than being limited to a particular group of people and space: an empty area that is available to be used. Having that in mind the proposed rules one and four should be discarded as they restrict the Forums to a specific group of people.
Given that the Forums is a public space, restricting people because they’re banned will also restrict people to appeal, as the Gaijin Support only handles technical or complex situations outside of the Game Master role, this is obvious since they specify Rules for submitting a request to technical support, which I assume technical doesn’t include community-related issues like chat ban, that’s what Game Master usually does, and you can only formally contact a Game Master in the Forums:
- To request help regarding a Chat Ban, please contact a Game Master via Forum PM.
- To request help regarding a Name related Account Ban, please contact a Game Master via Forum PM.
Because sactions are only limited to read-only not a total prohibition to visit and see the content of the Forums, that’s according to the sixth rule Sanction:
Every Formal Warning adds one additional penalty point to the User’s account. Each penalty point increases the severity of the punishment, as detailed below:
1 point: 2 days of read-only access.
2 points: 4 days of read-only access.
3 points: 7 days of read-only access.
4 points: 14 days of read-only access.
5 points: Permanent read-only access
Suppose a User accumulates 5 penalty points (thus receiving 5 Formal Warnings). In that case, their Gaijin account will be restricted to read-only access, meaning the User will no longer be able to participate in discussions.
With that in mind I think we can also discard the proposed rules one, two and four.
Regarding your proposal of rule three and five, which we can also discard because those already officially exist, according to Gaijin Community Guidelines: Common Rules § 3, para. 3.1 to para. 3.15 there are several listed rules that you could read as well which I’ll not cite here since they’re extensive and would take a lot of texting, but I’ve took the time to link them for sake of convenience. So we have a total of five out of five rules that can be discarded and or already exist, that up to players to report and the staff team to handle them accordingly.
Now, in my opinion you’re breaking your own proposed rules and Gaijin own rules regarding Conversational Media, you can’t restrict new players from the Forums because they’re new or whatever, if someone is off-topic you should flag their post or ask to properly communicate inside the discussion subject. We as a community need to stop being aggressive torwards new players as if it’s a requirement having advanced knowledge to press the play button. If don’t like a post, flag it if it’s against the rules or match some of the reasonings for flagging in the Flag post window, if none of this worked you’re more than free to move to somewhere else, aka. as other said—Reddit r/warthunder.

You made a mistake, and I’m promptly pointing your hipocrisys to ask for a polite place while also starting and engaging in offensive conversation. The reason for having toxic community is the result of the work moderators do and the behaviors they show.
So far their policing has been so numb and dull that community GETS TO BE THIS BAD and they continue to be worse in the future.
