Patch notes reflect only key changes, meaning they may not include a complete list of all improvements made. Additionally, War Thunder is constantly being updated and some changes may not require an update. Changes reflected in patch notes are formed by taking reactions and requests of the community from the bug reporting service, forums and other official platforms into account. Bug fixes and changes are implemented in order of importance, for example a game-breaking bug will be worked on and implemented sooner.
failed to mention that by change the “autopilot” parameters the distance from CM stabs got reduced from 0.3 → 0.12 and the turn is nearly as bad as an AIM-120 now.
Such ass changes:
SD-10A is the PL-12 (both dont reach mach5)
The “stability” changes made all pl-12s pull about as much (slightly better) than a 120B
Range buff of the Pl-12A is offset by slower accel and heavier weight (TTi is about 3 secs faster) on top of the pull nerf
Terrible change as with most gaijins missile balancing decisions but i guess thats par for the course.
Silver linnig is that this somewhat balanced MKK as its no longer just flat out better MK2 (and i wouldnt be surprised if this nerf was done in similair vein to turret baskets on M1 and Leo 2 in order to keep them at specific BR)
How are they worse based on this changelog?
They have better motor characteristics now, higher stability, and loft better now…
More kg of fuel isn’t a negative…
Edit:
There are things unrelated to this changelog though:
They pull way less, all pl-12s do, the motor buff is kinda offset by the new weight and worse accel, adding to that TTI is only minimally better at long ranges (about 3 secs)
Amended my post to include what I’ve known for at least a day now.
But that’s not part of this change log, so I didn’t originally think that knowledge was relevant.
