Server Update 16.01.2026

I’d respect them more at this point if they would just come out and say it
Instead of just staying silent in hopes that people will move on

We all know the reasons, but the fact that they won’t say it is what annoys me more

Feel free to flag this again, not sure what hurt ya feelings but i’m fine with staff handling it

The lengths this company go to is making me insane. It’s obvious what they’re trying to do. Gaijin you were this close to balancing the BMPT somewhat. How many more patches do we need?

Oh well as it turns out, they didnt mention a few changes again…

And one of them is probably for a very good reason, since it’s once again just fabricated nonsense to artificially buff the vehicle!

They made the fuel-tank, with no armour or other separation from the crew-compartment external aswell on BMPT72 - which is just a complete joke, because even the description of the “exterior fuel-tank” quite literally says what is required for one to be considered as such. NONE of these requirements are met.

On BMPT there’s atleast armour around the fuel-tanks, on BMPT72 there is not.
No T-72 in the game has them labeled as exterior either, only T-90M differs but that one has spall-liners around them, which BMPT72 doesnt.

The frontal fuel-tanks are also labeled as external which is just completely absurd and the fuel-tank that was previously correctly labeled/considered as internal is now external, which is another artificial buff that they dont even dare to list in the changelog.

The same fuel-tank not too long ago

Like wtf even is this nonsense at this point?

Don’t worry, they’ll see this and swiftly add 6mm of RHA to it

Theres no armour around it on T-72 so it’d be fake asf to begin with but if they add it then…

Surely it will create spall then, right? right?

ah wait no its russian I forgot… cant have armour create spall then, would be a shame if we believed in the marketing lie called “physics” afterall.

even the fuel tanks next to the driver are without protection at the moment and are considered external :D

Yeah thats also just utter nonsense but at least they didnt make them external at random a month after release.
Like they’re really trying so incredibly hard to find any and all possible artificial buffs they can shove on it, its not even funny anymore

Not even enough to be useful either

Please explain what part of the ammo belt is external? It seems to be all inside and even the upper part is connected to the crew interior. Unlike the crewless PUMA turret, which completly separates the turret from the interior.

You can also look at the 3d ingame model, there is no plate, no separation between the turret and interior?!!? No one understands this reasing. Same with fuel tanks, which are inside, but are “external”.

Any other vehicle from Tiger II to whatnot is immeadetly lost when ammo stored inside the turret ignites (if neither turret and ammo are somehow separated from the interior of the tank).

Why is the BMPT different? There is no plate, nothing which seperates the turret from the rest. If the turret ammo detonates, the tank should be gone. Like shown on irl feeds.

Because bias plain and simple, gaijin cant hide this one because pictures ALREADY exist showing the internal ammo feed is literally open to the crew. there is no excuse for why all the ammo doesnt kill the crew or at least kill the 2 crew in turret section who sit right in front of the ammo.

Duh.

clearly separated

So now we’re fixing a sound bug to please the BMPT players instead of fixing the horrendous model. Cherry on the top whoever’s making the list of priorities to fix on the BMPT is reading it upside down.

Stop buffing the bmpt

Somehow the feed system links the rounds together with pure magic as they’re being fed at like 800rpm lol.

I mean i agree, in all my years in wt only the PUMA situation was similar to the BMP-T situation now.
On the other hand you also dont want to happen to any vehicle how dirty they did the PUMA after “fixing its model a couple of times” when the explosion of 200 round of 30 mm apfsds ammo inside its unmanned turret just blew off both its tracks every time this happened, leaving you completely defenseless and unable to move. And the guy trying to finish you spam into your smoke if he lost track of your location for sometimes a minute until you were done. Or run into your team trying to find you (yay you got lucky). For at least a year maybe even two (maybe still happens but god knows im not eager to touch the PUMA ever again to find out).

Long story short, the snail’s jut got a hand for releasing well armore ifvs/“light” tanks 2.0 BRs lower than they should be with halfway finished models. Some of them you can even buy and they have premium status ;-)
