Patch notes reflect only key changes, meaning they may not include a complete list of all improvements made. Additionally, War Thunder is constantly being updated and some changes may not require an update. Changes reflected in patch notes are formed by taking reactions and requests of the community from the bug reporting service, forums and other official platforms into account. Bug fixes and changes are implemented in order of importance, for example a game-breaking bug will be worked on and implemented sooner.
the PUMA upon release had the effect when the turret was hit the EXTERNAL ammo would cook off as wel as the internal storage, leaving the vehicle with 0 rounds, as well as the cook off taking forever and not allowing resupply at a cap.
there were 200+ pages on bugs and features not working, the PUMA was introduced to low, but was elevated within weeks, with all bugs still unaddressed.
it was fast and very hard to kill by other IFV’s due to the armour, that’s it.
So why was the bmpt released in such a state? Every patch has been fixing this vehicle and balancing it because it was so far outside of what is acceptable. We had a dev server, and most of this was voiced in there, yet it wasn’t done before release.
@Stona_WT, just for clarification, the playable area will stay the same size and only the size of the map is adjusted or will the area also be adjusted?
Funny part was this would happen and it would just keep shooting with no ammo. It also had a bug where it would still shoot with the gun destroyed. I got killed by ammo racked and/ or gun less PUMAs DOZENS of times.
That thing was every bit as bad as the BMPT and in some regards worse than the BMPT
I may be misremembering, but I’m pretty sure it took more than a month to fix the PUMAs busted damage model and move it up 3 BR steps. I remember driving right up behind one in the Type 75 SPH and shooting it right in the base of the CITV/MUSS tower and it just turns around and shredded me. Just shrugged of 9kg of TNT in its ammo storage and goes to town.
Sounds like exactly what was happening with the PUMA, look I’m not trying to defend the state of the BMPT, I’m just pointing out this has happened before with other nations.
Minimap showed non-playable space previously. Now it will not be visible on minimap (so you can easly notice when you are out of bounds).
You can click report and check screens how it looked previously.
nice, accidently running into dead ends and off the map was pretty bad, especially with the 4kph Russian reverse gear, buy the time the warning showed up you wouldn’t have time to turn around and go back, it was even close in the Type 90/10s, T-series… forget it.
