Steam is a launcher; it has (mostly) nothing to do with the game itself. Nothing will modify your game, especially since it’s an online game (data is stored on the owner’s servers).
I tried manual update. Went perfectly fine but the game still can’t reach server…

What should I do then ?
Leave the options on manual until you resolve the link between Steam and the game. Keep in mind that once it starts, you must set the username and password if you have never used the manual option.

I don’t know what is happening in War Thunder Discord but an announcement made in Enlisted Official Discord stating “Steam Authorization Issues” and according to rest, they are working on this currently.

if you use steam there is settings button on right side of launch button press it got to general and then choose launch option as manual game update. then start game and wate it to download the update and then press play
