(Serious Question) Does anyone know why SPAA gaps aren't addressed?

Assuming that Gszabi’s leak is correct (a big if), it seems that Germany, Italy, and Russia are getting the Osa as a new top tier SPAA, with Russia also getting another high-mid tier SPAA in the form of the ZSU-23-4M2. Meanwhile the US, Great Britain, and Israel still lack a true top tier SPAA and the US having a huge gap in its SPAA line (and lacking high fire rate SPAA in general at low and mid tiers).

Italy is getting a new SPAA is nice, but why are Germany and especially Russia getting new SPAAs when their top tier SPAA are viable or the best in the game, respectively?

Even if this leak is incorrect on all counts regarding SPAA, the relatively recent additions of the ZSU-23-4M4, Kugelblitz, and VTT DCA seem to not address any major gaps in capability or BR.

Genuinely I don’t understand it, has Gaijin ever said something in a press release before about having the US, Great Britain, and/or Israel lack an SPAA at top tier to match IRL doctrine? Is there a lack of modelers for these nations?

Everybody likes planes. Less people like tonks.
AA was one of the biggest things in the USSR doctrine. But yes they could add more spaa

USA has 2 equivalents already, Israel has an equivalent as well.

Germany and Soviet don’t have SPAA able to deal with AGM-65G slingers.

Neither the US or Israel have an equivalent to the 4M2, which would likely be ~7.0 due to it not having a radar.

Germany might not have an SPAA that can deal with them in the most AGM-optimal scenarios, but the Osa won’t change that. Russia on the other hand does have an SPAA that can take out AGM-launchers, and again the Osa won’t change that.

If I had to take a guess, it is a mix of a lack of vehicles/needing to create fully new ones, few options, and a lack of demand.

They are fixing stuff, but slowly. Britain and France have gotten mid-tier SPAAs to fill some gaps that they had.

The British one makes sense, but the recent French SPAA didn’t fill much of a gap (2.0 BR iirc).

True. It doesn’t help that the Amx-13 DCA went up from 4.3 to 5.0, leaving 3 SPAA between 5.0-6.0.

Still not 7.3-7.7 SPAA sadly, but that is an issue I see with nearly every nation. Is there a lack of options there, or does Gaijin just not add them.

Neither does the usa for any Air to ground weapon of these country.

Yes they do…
LAV AD and Machbet.
I didn’t even need to be in-game to remember those.
Even Germany has Gepard 1A2.

Cause Gaijin has prioritized the Modern and Late Cold War over the other eras and as some claim, many of the SPAA options wouldn’t bring much of a difference in battle nor have an impact. Which i heavily disagree with.

Doctrine differences.

Game was designed with fighters and bombers first.

Then added tanks. Tanks getting bombed, tankers complain, they make SPAA. SPAA was prevalent in all nations until end of World War 2, so everyone gets a SPAA.

Then comes Cold War, where US and UK did not invest nearly as much as USSR or Germany. Tide shifts.

So Gaijin did it all to themselves. It’s why bombers are removed and put into Simulations so they can fly peacefully, and now SPAAs are ultra-lethal except against certain choppers and high-alt GBUs.

As 9M39 could do something and it can, ZSU-23-4 is a short range SPAA, the missile are there just to compete with FIM-92E/K.

LAV-AD has missiles, the Machbet/M163 have a radar, and the Gepard 1A2 has a radar and missiles…

Has Gaijin ever said this was the case, though?

It is a good question and it’s not only top tier, but throughout the trees. It’s deeply frustrating

Well I was talking about the 4M4 since that was the only one in-game and confirmed.
4M2 has equivalents known as M163 in Israel and USA.
VEAK 40 gets a search radar at the same[ish] BR.
China has WZ305.
If Gaijin ever removes the Falcon’s APDS Britain would have that.

Let me show you a SPAA loop

Rewards for killing planes are trash ----> bearly anyone plays SPAA -----> is is not as high priority as bearly anyone play it -----> repeat

No, 4M2 is equivalent to M163 CS, Standard 4 is equivalent to stanadard M163
