Serious Balance Issues with Russian Vehicles in War Thunder

2010s, not 2010, it was approved for production after testing that took place in 2015

I’m still skeptical to say the least.

may have bits of DU in it you might ingest (which is about the only way DU can really harm you) but im sure you could find a way

thats fair, but if the new russian ERA is so good why hasnt a program for M829A5 started yet? these rounds are designed with beating future threats in mind too (such as relikt and T-14)

Finding, non-acquired items (era) to reverse engineer, etc.

There can be many reasons why or why not.

AFAIK the Relict ERA and Malichite were total redesigns of the whole ERA system.

Welp, gaijin said following:

The first consideration is the addition of a new M829A3 shell which we’ve also seen requests and suggestions for. We’ve discussed this option, but the addition of this shell in comparison with the M829A2 will not enhance the Abrams capability against top-tier vehicles that are equipped with modern armor and built-in ERA systems. We’re still considering the possibility of adding the M829A3 shell, but as a first change, we’re going to increase the rate of fire of first-stage ammo from 6 to 5 seconds per shot on an Ace level crew, which’ll make the Abrams more effective against all opponents. This rate of fire is possible considering the size and weight of most shells for 105 mm guns are comparable to shells for a 120 mm gun. This is due to the fact that the 120 mm cartridge case is partially combustible, while the 105 mm case is metal. For example, a 105 mm shell with an M900 projectile has a length of 1003 mm and a weight of 18.5 kg, and a 120 mm M829A2 has a length of 982 mm and a weight of 20.3 kg.

So they might use “their” sources, which would be hard to beat. Just wish smbd tested “Relikt” publically IRL(as was done with “Nizh” ERA)

lmao again no camera tricks, zoom didn’t change. is an honest person that unfathomable to you? if you go by pure height maybe but only because of thin MG, the silhouette is definitely larger, making it more noticeable and shootable in battle

here it is in customs lol

what a weird thing to get hung up about but w/e
@Masterbaishin SM vs Typhoon went 1-4 without full real controls, using them it would have probably scored one or two more. R73 early is key obviously

there is good chance m829a4 was designed for defeating new gen ERA, its the only good reason to make it, but too little is known to the public to be completely sure

atleast 700m rha equivalent pen for sure

Is it a whole new round or just a new APFSDS?

penetrator and rest of round were changed, so id call it a new round overall

Do you need to insult me to prove your point?

Is that really all you can do?

Let’s remember that you’re saying i’m bsing some screenshots over the size of 2 tanks.
Go touch grass

You don’t need to be so hostile.

The type 16 has a larger footprint.
Your original screenshots don’t have the exact same perspective, which means they aren’t good evidence.

Trying to argue the difference between a manned and unmanned turret is stupid, the type 16 is more visible in 90% of scenarios than a striker is, especially when hull down or peeking a ridgeline due to it having a low profile turret, and the reason they perform poorly is due to the players not the striker itself

Watch out or I might say water is safe to drink, what will you drink then?

I never said that you were wrong by saying it is taller. I just explained why I initially disagreed.

Sorry for misinterpreting you.

Look in the mirror.

Do you really have to be this hostile and insufferable?? Who hurt you??

Seriously though you have plagued this thread for far too long so feel free to take a break simply because i liked his comment, making us a part of an anti ‘ExcaliburSniper’ hive mind
