All of the Seafires and Sea Fury are pretty hard to play, especially when they are compared to other aircraft of the same BR, even lower BR, like Seafire MK3 VS spitfire MK5VC or Sea Fury VS Tempest MKV.
Their speed and mobility are worse than those of the same BR similar aircraft; some of the reason is due to Gaijin choosing the worst type, such as Seafire FR 47, which has a camera and makes it much heavier than all of the Spitfires. Should Gaijin reconsider their BR or remake them into other types?
Seafire III is brutally overtiered, just like the Spitfire Vcs
Seafire XVII is kinda overtiered but not as hopeless as the III
Sea Fury FB 11 is a Tempest V sidegrade of sorts, slower climbing but faster at various altitudes, tricky to make work but it’s decent enough (you’re still better off in the Tempest V in most scenarios)
Seafire FR 47 is kinda crap, it just doesn’t hold energy very well, or turn very well, or go very fast, idk if it’s modelled with the drag of a deployed airbrake or what
I’d rather fly the Fury for the faster top speeds at low altitudes. The 152C will outturn a Sea Fury iirc but they’re both bricks that lose turning to everything else, Fury also has infini-WEP under manual engine control.
Unlike every other Spitfire the Seafire 47 has Takeoff Flap settings, it can beat 109s and some other planes in turning fights with this but you will sacrifice all of your energy doing so. It also has the highest dive limit of any Spitfire for some reason so you can sacrifice all of your altitude if you really want something far below you dead.
Idk much about the fury, however the Seafire LF Mk.III is pretty much as close as the spitfire series comes to being balanced. It has actual downsides unlike the Spitfire Mk.IX
