I would like to suggest the Sd.Kfz. 10 with 5 cm Pak 38 L/60 and armor (Behilfspanzerung)
It is basically just the Sd.Kfz. 10 where a slightly modified 5 cm Pak 38 L/60 was put on the flatbed (with removed wheels) and usually armor plating was put in front of the engine and cooler as well as instead of the wind shield in front of diver and codriver, sometimes even more to the sides. These upgrades and armarment were (to my knowlege) only field mods and by that not unified, however it would usually be 14,5 mm armor plating, as that is the standart 7,92 mm S.m.K (Ap ammo) proof rated armor plate at an angle of around 30° with the Pak 38 mounted on back with its standart 2x 8mm plates with 25mm distance to each other and crew of 4-8 people.

The Sd.Kfz. 10 was designed and had its first prototype build in 1934 and after further development the first production of the D6 started in 1937 and in 1938 the D7 which was the pretty much final and main production model, of which around 17.500 were build till the end of production 1944. The Sd.Kfz. 10 was also used as the basis for the armored version Sd.Kfz. 250.

it was build by Büssig-NAG, Österreichische Saurer Werke, Mühlenbau und Industrie AG, Maschinenfabrik Niedersachsen Hannover, Adlerwerke and MWC Mechanische Werke Cottbus GmbH.

It was well liked for its low rolling resistance of only 5% higher than a 4 wheel vehicle of same size with a top speed of 75 km/h (Drivers were told to stay at 65 duo to wear) powered by the (in the final version from 1940 100 Ps HL 42 TRKM engine).
It was equipped with a at the time quite modern semiautomatic 7/3 Gear Maybach-Variorex Preselecter Transmission with easy use and great reliability.
It was used the whole war and used on all fronts as well as sold to Sweden and used by Romania.

Its mane use was as the 1t gun traktor as well as small troop transport and duo its availability and need often with guns mounted on top of it such as 2 cm Flak 30 (as 10/4), 2 cm Flak 38 (10/5) and as field mods with armor and often a 3,7 cm gun or 5 cm gun.

The vehicle i suggest is the one in the first Picture folder, of it 2 pictures exist, one from the front and the back side. It has a hull MG in a slit in the front plate, which is quite thick (3-5 cm) with indirect mirror for the driver, a plate over the engine deck (and sides) as well as a well protected radiator.
Picture folder 2, shows other such modifications.

Its place in game could be as a mobile low Br (around 1.7 or so, very similar to the Americal M3 GMC) AT gun with thin frontal armor, enove to protect against Mg fire while having devistating firepower against even the heavyest of tanks it may face (such as B1 Bis and Ter) in Uptiers. It would give a fun and faster playstyle with setting up “traps” as well as show the need of the german army to equip many vehicles as available with AT guns at hand as possible.

Gun:
5 cm Pak 38 L/60
Unknow amount of ammo, the ammo would just be stored in its standart 4 round “Luftdichter Patronenkasten der 5 cm Pak 38” (Air tight ammo container of the 5 cm Pak 38) with 4 round stored and they could be simply stored and piled up at the back of the vehicle easy to access.
3,7 Sec reload (or faster cince its open top and generally open)
-8° to + 27° elevation with 65° Horizontally at around 15°/sec (Depression is mostly blocked by the Drivers frontal plate, so it will have around -5° only to the front.)
2x 8mm with 25mm space

Usually also 1 or more Mg 34 with 1x mountedo n the gunshield (visible on pictures)

Ammo:
5 cm Pzgr 39 (APC) 2,05 kg 835 m/s 106mm/10m
5 cm Pzgr 40 (APCR) 0,9 kg 1180 m/s 137mm/10m
5 cm Pzgr 40/1 (APCR) 1,07 kg 1130 m/s 130mm/10m
5 cm Sprgr. 38 (HE) 1,82 kg 870 m/s 200g Fp.02 und Np.10 (256g TNTa) 12mm/10m

There was a similar vehicle in service with Yugoslavian partisans. I like it! +1

+1 this would be an amazingly fun 2.0 TD

Some really nice footage.
