Sabra's firepower

The sabra hull is paper to any kind of apfsds and omg u poor russia main u need to learn some weak points?
I didnt see u complains about the is 3 and is 4 that bullies 6.7
T55 apfsds can go through a lot of weak points in the sabra turret and if not so the hull itslef

All heavy tanks are bullies in full downtier bro it’s not a single nation specific traits, T29 and King Tiger did worse thing to 6.0s in a full downtier because they don’t sit at a corner to reload for two hours like the IS-series. Throughout the br the USSR has a lot of pathetic vehicles, but British has had it worse than anybody else lol don’t know about Italy since I don’t play them

Is series is op im playing it rn and i dont even have expert crew on and its so ez to grinde amazing rounds with decent/op armor
So let israel have good tank its not op in 9.7 even t55 with 3 brain cells can shoot the hull or the turret weak spots

In 10.0 it wil suffer even in downtiers it gonna be peper

How am I a Russian Main???

I used to main mostly USA, but since then, I am playing almost every country, at almost every battle rating:

I am trying to be as objective as possible. Most vehicles you’re facing in a full downtier with the Sabra, which is 9.7, only have DM23 at best or 3BM25 at worst, where both of them are the most common rounds too.

U played the sabra?
Cuz i didnt saw a single israeli tank which makes me doubt ur opinion

My friend has played it quite a lot, and I have asked for his opinion.
Here are his stats for it:

For some context, he averages around a 3.0 KPS (Kill Per Spawn) with other vehicles he enjoys playing.

So, he either enjoys it a lot and mastered its playstyle, or it’s overperforming at its current battle rating.
Him and I think that it’s the latter.

Well idk hoe good ur friend is and he did played 111 games with this tank so make sanse that he knows what he is doing

You only have 22 matches, meaning that you probably haven’t spaded it yet, nor got the modifications that are most important.

Play 100 matches, spade it, expert it, and then go onto the forums with a more informed opinion.
I’m sure that you’d at least then understand where we’re (@MotorolaCRO) coming from.

Ur right i did not cuz im a bit tierd of the m60 and i focused in america and germany now but from what i played and i saw reviews on it its not op at all its a glass canon with almost no armor and mid mobility if it goes up in br the little armor it does have will mean nothing

Reviews can often be unreliable, especially if they’re coming from players who haven’t spent the time to get used to it.

I mean, at 10.0, the turret cheeks are still decent, and 120mm DM23 can sometimes even non-pen, let alone M774 from the Abrams.
You’d have to use your armour more sparingly at 10.0 than 9.7, instead of being able to rely on it fairly well while hull-down. The HEAT protection on both the turret and hull is still good for 10.0, albeit not as good if it were to stay at 9.7.
But the armour shouldn’t be the main selling point of the vehicle anyways.

The fact that it gets Gen 2 thermals + ESS, decent reverse speed, great gun handling (turret rotation speed, vertical targeting speed, optics etc), as well as a great round that pens and spalls a lot, with a 6s reload (which is above average even at 10.0) - makes it a good enough vehicle to be 10.0.

I don’t played it either or I would say I hadn’t, my Israel tech 🌴 has only one M-51 lol but then I do however played the M60TTS, M48 Super and the 120S, I imagined the Sabra will play the same and can adopt similar playstyle since they all have the same foundation, it’s a decent vehicle with ok-ish frontal armor to survive most autocannons attack and good protection against chemical type ammunition, they all also reload rather quickly with veteran crews.

Also looking at the spec alone, it looks like the mobility and engine is shit too, unlike the M48 Super and Olifant MK.2 both were more mobile, only the ammunition it carries totally outclassed them.

The thing is, none of the vehicles you mentioned (other than the 120S) have any armour whatsoever against any form of threats. 120S is the only one with good turret armour at its own BR, but its hull armour against any form of HEAT / AP is absymal.
All of them (other than the M48 Super) have terrible HP/TON, which affects how well they accelerate. The 120S, for example, has an abysmal HP/TON of 13.3.
The M60 TTS only has a HP/TON of 14.2.
The Sabra / Gal Batash, on the other hand, has a HP/TON of 16.4, which is much more usable.
The M48 Super and M60 AMBT being the only M60/M48 that has a HP/TON better than the Sabra, which are 18.9 and 22 respectively.
However, the M48 Super tries to compensate for the much better mobility with a much worse round, reload, and not having armour against any threat at its BR.
The AMBT compensates that extra mobility for a slightly worse round, reload, and armour against most threats at its BR.

It doesnt have gen 2 thermals last time i checked and the turret armor isnt good at 10.0 its berly decent in 9.7 but we will see the stats if it does overperforming and it should go to 10.0 so be it as israel main i used to it ppl can let this nation be good ig

It does seem to have gen 2 thermals. I remember watching videos and watching streams of it, and seems to be more crisp than what gen 1 thermals should be.

It can be good, but it doesn’t have to be broken. The Ayit should have already moved up to 9.7 in ARB, and possibly even 10.0 in GRB.
The Merkava Mk.4s are doing fairly well now due to the 5s reloads that they got.

Any way i learned israel cant have good tanks idk why its either political or just not to piss off the big 3 money making nations buti can ensure u that if the sabra will go higher in br it will be pain to play and it gonna end up like the 120s which ppl berly play it

I think it’s because of how zoomed in you can get with the thermals. The closer or more magnified a tank is, the more details it will have with thermals.

The problem with the 120S is that (other than in hull down positions when sniping) is a glass cannon which has no mobility nor armour. At least with the Sabra its mobility is adequate to get around the battlefield / respond to cues more so than the 120S could ever dream of. The armour is good enough to stop 2S38’s rounds, which says something about the 120S’s lack of armour more than anything, can stop 30mm APFSDS from things like the BMP-2M shooting its turret ring (unlike with the 120S), and can even stop the ZBD04’s ATGMs for pretty much all areas other than the turret ring and LFP.

The M48 Super is also the only one that has great reverse gear, it and the Olifant MK2 handles oddly similar. Their armor isn’t worth mentioning only if the Leopard 1 weren’t too common there. All the M48s/M60 variants I’ve played or test drove just feels super slow except for the Super, which often feel pretty close to Leopard 1 mobility.

Both have nice mobility, with the Olifant Mk.2 probably being one of the best 9.3s at the moment, due to it getting decent turret armour, fairly good mobility, with gen 2 thermals + ESS and DM63.

The Sabra’s mobility is worse than both of them, but it isn’t as bad as you may think. The reverse speed of 11km/h is adequate to get out of most situations too, unlike with things such as the T-64B.

Leopard 1A5’s HP/ton is actually not even that good to begin with.
It’s 19.5, which is not bad, but it’s lacking for how little armour it has.
The OF-40 MTCA has 23.3 HP/TON, all while being the same BR as the Leopard 1A5, having a point-mount 50.cal, having the same round, and even having better turret rotation speed than it (40 degrees per second instead of just 20).
It tries to compensate by having thermals and better optics, but I don’t really know if it’s entirely worth it.

Finally got the Sabra, and spaded in assault mode

These Magachs are badass machines, don’t know how people are still complaining about T-72s or T-55AM lmao
