M829A1 equivalent ammunition at 9.7? imagine you are in the T-55AM1 and you see this thing lol
And then you remember its a slow glass cannon, no armor to speak of, and that there is the sprut sdm1 at 10.0 with a 3BM60! Russia mains crying other nations have a “special thing” is my favorite.
“Imagine the Leo 1 at 9.0 facing the Sprut with a 3BM60.”
I don’t see anyone crying here apart from you.
Plus, the 120S exists, and it’s in a similar situation to both of those tanks.
Armor part is simply untrue as common rounds at that BR bracket (such as 105mm DM23/33, M774) won’t be able to lolpen your turret armor.
At least Leo 1 can lolpen Sprut. Can you guess what happens when T-55AM-1 see Sabra ?
Sabra is pretty good, it has mediocre armor, good gun handling, gun depression and reload speed paired with thermals and top tier worthy round. It’s biggest drawback is the mobility.
It being at 9.7 is more of a compression issue than anything else.
That’s just a compression issue. Doesn’t necessarily mean Sabra is under-BR’d.
9.7’s clown on 8.7’s, no differently than how T55AM1 itself is hell to fight against in a 7.7.
Raw pen alone isn’t everything. If that’s how we determined BR’s, M-51 would be 8.0, and Object 292 would be 12.0 lol.
The scariest ammunition our 7.7s could see was actually the Chinese PTZ89 before it got moved up to 9.0, imagine you are in your T32E1 and getting hit by a 3BM42 equivalent. T-55AM1 actually having the worst apfsds in its respective br, the only scary thing about its firepower is the ATGM.
The Sabra should be 10.0, compression or not. It’s a 120S with worse turret armor, slower reload, and worse thermals but better mobility, better hull armor and equivalent round. A .3 BR difference would be more appropriate.
There is no reason it should be the same BR as the Merkava Mk.2D
M829A1 normally isn’t used by a busted up M60
It should stay at 9.7 unless gaijins finally willing to buff the KE effectiveness modifier for the armor. The composite armor on the Sabra/Magach 7C is weaker than rubber Fabric Screens against kinetic threats.
I can name one reason, it gives a lineup for Merkava Mk2D lol.
We have no lineup at 10.0, so if you put it there, you’re either forcing it play alone (2D vs 11.0’s would be grim), or up at 10.7 with Namer.
(I know we don’t adjust BR’s based on lineups, but something to consider none the less)
I wish Gaijin would consider lineups more often before making BR changes.
The T-90A is rather pointless at 11.0, it only exists as a backup to an 11.7 lineup.
Compression is not a thing at 10.0 ground.
Sabra should be 10.0.
Compression is a thing everywhere. Ultimately though, it’s a new vehicle. All new vehicles come with relatively preliminary BR’s, and if the stats show Sabra is over performing, then we can be sure it will get a BR bump in the next round of changes, regardless of any of our thoughts or feelings on it.
It’ll be sad to see both Mk2D & Sabra sat alone with no lineups at their respective BR’s, and I likely won’t even bother playing Sabra if that happens (just as I haven’t played 2D up to now for the same reason), but it is what it is.
the only explanation for it being 9.7 is that it will be able to line up with Merk2D. Surely merk2D will be back on sale soon, to stay.
If the Merkava Mk.2D comes back, I pray it revives M426/DM23-105, or at least the LAHAT. Currently it’s just a worse Merkava mk.2 due to the added weight at a high BR.
Aye, I’m not really sure why people are comparing Sabra to Mk2D either, as if Mk2D hasn’t had its BR questionably increased already, and is the definition of mediocre at 9.7.
If comparing against that is the bar for what needs to be 10.0… god help us lol.
Mk3D is the same BR as Mk3B, because the added armour isn’t worth the HP/Ton loss. But Mk2D sits higher than Mk2B with the exact same tradeoff?
we need M428 and Lahat for the Israeli 105mm guns… everyone can have Israeli technology except Israel…
Even USA and China can have one of their best 105mm shells and Israel can’t.
Similar like Chieftain MK10, he is a forever alone now. Also Coolgirlblitz at a br with removed vehicles lol
In all fairness, I feel like the M428 should only be added to the Magach 7C (Late) (yet to be suggested/added, has extra roof armor and served in reserve around the time M428 was introduced/produced) and a Merkava Mk.2D (Late) for the TT, as it also sat in reserve around that time. Its quite th powerful round, but the more pressing issue that needs to be addressed is the missing 5.0s reload for the Merkava Mk.1/2s and 5.0-6.0s reload for later Magach variants.
Ironically irrc all Mk.3s weigh the same lmao
