So that limited? Like i know that radar doesn’t like ground clutter so in guessing thats partially why?
True, but I was only mentioning bigger picture. Sometimes whole team won’t have a single SPAA that can counter single enemy heli.
From my experience, M163 has the worst lock out of all SPAAs, meaning you’ll have to spam lock keybind in order to actually get a lock. Also, it has a hard time maintaining said lock.

You would be correct. As long as the heli is moving in your general direction, it seems to be fine. But other than that, it wont keep a lock for long.
Overall, yeah. It has the worst radar of the spaa i listed but it is the lowest br so that is expected. I would say it is more that it struggles to lock things not moving towards it. The heli was not buzzing trees so i dont know for sure how much it is affected by clutter.
You could probably lock a heli up to 3km out if you catch them moving to the battlefield. The guy i was locking was mostly just hovering around over the battlefield.
