Today I played couple matches with my Russian top tier line-up and used only 2S25M.
Combination of good mobility+firepower and scout abilities gave me easy access to immense amount of spawn points and allowed me to abuse broken Russian CAS.
I said this earlier: 2S25M at top tier is probably my favorite tank.
Mobility and firepower is all you need at top tier, not armor.
Considering their armor overperforms at least %15 and Anti-Era still isn’t a feature in this game, I think Russians should be greatful with all those artificial buffs at all.

Abrams players would probably agree with you. Keep in mind they still have the bug where their lower front plate can be penned with 100mm AP shell, and their neck basically being a giant hole saying:“Hey shoot here I am a free kill”
Abrams is debatably a worse 2S25M if you use the same playstyle just cause it’s a bit slower lmfao
Eh sometimes i would like to have some armor in my Sprut-M, not gonna lie.
Biggest turn off in this tank is the elevation speed and -4 degree gun depression, how come Russia can produce such a tall tank that has even worse depression than T-80/90’s with abysmal elevation speed?

The BR system is there to balance out vehicles in their realistic state so you don’t have to make shit up. Why have a game balancing system if I can just make everything up anyway? Let’s play battlefield instead, none of the vehicles are even remotely realistic but it’s balanced. What an insanely stupid take on how the games balancing system should work.
The Abrams has the 2S25M easily beat in firepower and gun handling though and it’s not even a close competition.
Any role the 2S25 can fill the Abrams can likely fill better.

A tank for flat terrain and sniping basically. I’d love to see Gaijin give it its cage armor but I believe the engine has never changed and the cage armor removes buoyancy.
These are the only 2 REAL variants as far as I’m aware
Abrams can’t scout tho so you can’t abuse the CAS.

I agree, but people want them to become not only low skill floor tanks but also high skill ceiling tanks by buffing them to the point they are equal or better to NATO tanks while russia also has the best cas and support vehicles

I don’t think any sensible person wants them to be equal to NATO tanks. Not realistic either for any of the ones we currently have in-game.
It’s just the fact that they are so BENEATH them that it’d be nice to make them a bit more playable.
Considering my experience for the last couple weeks at top tier I can confidently say whoever abuse the CAS first will most likely wins the game.
People often underestimates how light vehicles can abuse the game mechanics and can turn your life into hell.
Hell they can even spot the entire enemy team from perfect cover while using drone, most stupid idea i’ve ever seen…

Abrams has
Better shells
Better reload
Better mobility
Better reverse
Better armor
Better profile
Better survivability
Better gun handling
Better gun angles
Etc.
Only thing 2S25M has is the Scouting/Drone.

Im okay with limiting loadouts if the vehicle is hard to balance example: terrible vehicle with advanced weapons (think Tornado IDS with good IR missiles)
I’m not okay with straight up making stuff up just to please one subset of players

It does. 2S25 transmission is messed up by Gaijin so the acceleration is not as good as it should be.
Can you show me a few instances of “making stuff up” please? I don’t follow
