Why shouldn´t the T64 be louder? The Abrams isn´t particulary loud for a tank.
He might be talking about actual ERA tho, like the AZUR ERA blocks which are absolute chonkers but only offer 450mm chemical and 20mm kinetics protection vs the T90Ms paper thin ERA which offers 600mm chemical and 200mm kinetic
iam not to knowledgeable about ERA, but isnt the ERA on the T-90 from 2010+?
and they arent to thin either

ik it isnt one from the front but the ones in the damage model are literally floating 30cm above the upf
The vacuum machine is already one of the loudest engine in the game lol
Neither am i but isnt the T90Ms ERA just Relict, which would be 2006ish in introduction?
Its more about the side which seem super thin compared to the ones on the Leclerc and some Challengers, maybe the model of the T90M is just horrible in game (which wouldnt surprise me). But i think its somewhat justified to question 33% more chemical protection and ten times the kinetic protection on a smaller ERA block
on the side skirts after you stock grind them you get different ERA
cant give you the stats since i have none of the tanks that get that skirt ERA
But those ERA are not the ones my values from above are from. I took the ones i can see which are the stock relic
those values are at an angle, flat on they provide much lower protection, they do overperform flat on, but they dont provide 200ke and 600ke flat on.
yeah idk
iam not really in the mood to dive into an ERA rabbit hole rn and look at different ERA’s
all i know is that relict basically throws a metal plate into the direction of the round
They were worse for their reliability and such irl.
Yeah thats my point man not the speed, just a general discussive point.
How do you arrive to the conclusion i was talking about NERA ?
I said NATO ERA, the one on the side skirts of Leclerc, Challengers, Abrams and what not
becasue i had a similar conversation before
No, they werent.
Also, you cant really repair AZ in field, but you can with MZ.
I am aware how Relict is supposed to work i just find it a bit questionable that a vastly smaller ERA would provide much better protection against kinetic AND chemical rounds. Like kinetic makes sense since that it whats its supposed to do and AZUR is an urban warfare kit but being so much better at both?
Heh fair enough
Still, as H_ngma_ specified, having paper thin side ERA with more resistance to kinetic AND chemical compared to a literal brick is quite non sensical
Yes they where…
The T64s when first designed were plagued with reliability issues, the auto loader being one of said issues, unless the tank museums wrong.
Engine issues, transmission issues as well as auto loader issues are registered on the military trails as such.
It had less issues than 72, especially regarding engine&transmission.
Tank museums could be more than wrong, especially if those are propaganda-spread ones.
imagine if Gaijin remove the KH38MT due to fake just to add the 59. That would be really funny
