Russian Teams Steamrolling NATO - Top Tier is Broken Again?

That saying “its designed to do x” is a pretty worthlesss statement on its own

I just hope for 13.7 air premiums.

It just has stronger explosion.
Just wish USA tested it… or smbd else trustworthy

Is it somehow not 3rd gen ERA?

Kontact-1 > Kontact-5 > Relikt > Monolith/Malachit

The M829A4 armor-piercing, 120 mm line-of-sight kinetic energy cartridge was fielded in 2014. It is the materiel solution for the Abrams’ lethality capability gap against threat vehicles equipped with third-generation explosive reactive armor.

What is with the T58 and other USA vehicles getting their true reload, but, Russian auto loaders are capped? I hope that the leak is true, and the reloads are getting fixed, but bug reporting it with documents keeps getting labeled as “not a bug” what’s going on here??

Relict came out post m829A4 though no? So it’s effectiveness against said ERA may not be as good.

No.

Did it? Where did you get the late introduction date from? Most sources cite a mid 2000s introduction date for Relict

I guess it may have been 2006-2008? It’s hard to say, many sources I have seen are all over the place.

I don’t recall seeing them using it on anything pre 2015 though.
Even sources online say it debuted in 2015 on the T-14 Armata / T-90M
So I do find it hard to believe they already had a shell developed for an ERA never seen.

there is pic of relict produced 2013, so even earlier. stop coping lmao

You know, it’s called a discussion, but when you bring up that stupid “coping” nonsense, you make yourself look like a complete fool whom has lost the discussion/ argument.

you are coping.
that is fact, sorry.
it has 0 connections to losing anything.

Well i mean by the time they are seen in a parade or something intelligence agencies probably know about stuff like this for quite a while. And the contract for the M829a4 was awarded in 2011 so that would kinda track as a reaction to a 2006-2008 introduction. Additionally heavy ERA is not really a new concept so id guess everyone expected russia to upgrade their kontakt 5 at some point

and one question how namy time need to gaijin to ad fot nato cas a normal tv,ir guided AGM?? ofcors russia have most modern agm but nato fire with cold war one so… “balanc”

This is true, but with no concrete date, it’s hard to say when relict was official.

As for intelligence, I find it doubtful cia or anyone had a lot of info on it before its public release. Russia is pretty secretive about new tech.

Unless they’re trying to sell it

I’m talking about IRL the T64 when it was designed had troubles with its auto loader.

That is all i mean

Russia might be but it only takes one opportunistic dude to sell some bricks on the black market

Oh yea irl any tank by any nation had problems.

But for that loader? I’m uncertain, as I’m USA trials of a captured Iraqi T-72, they fired 3000 continuous rounds before there was an major malfunction

Given I am a veteran, new tech like that is usually developed in a high clearance area, sometimes even body searches occur. I don’t know how they do it in Russia, but If it’s anything like the US… good luck is all I’m saying

That is the thing, I don’t think it’s anything like the US in Russia when it comes to that.

They are likely the most or second most corrupt nation in Europe for a reason.
