I never had a problem. Ngl I would take the F-15E over a lot of other fighters I own, except the Su-30SM, merely due to its ability to turn on a dime and IRST.
The F-15E can still catch that though, an launch an aim-9m if he’s playing stealthy like.
Aim-120s aren’t bad either, I had good performance with them, I haven’t used the aim-120cs though.
Agreed, against other similar fox 3 they aren’t bad, but they’re severely underperforming and blown out the water by R-77-1 and MICA-EM
AIM-120C is way worse at close range but a bit better farther out ingame, when it should be a straight upgrade because there is no way USAF is going to accept a sidegrade like that

What is so complicated about this statement? You count how many tech trees are represented in the examples on the left of the “-” then you count the amount on the right and then you notice a pattern. Its really not that hard to understand yet you people completely miss the point and instead nitpick the examples themselves instead of the purpose they serve.

I haven’t used a mica so I can’t speak to its affect, but R-77-1 distance performance is crap.
That’s why I like the Aim-120 so much, at distance I was king.
If they tried to hide, I’d turnt he radar off, pull an aim-9m out and and get them while they look for my radar ping. Not like they knew the 9m was coming anyways.
I’ve heard otherwise, that it’s distance performance is comparable to 120A/B but it’s much much better in close range and maneuverability
If we are going off of this basis, everyone does that. Except in most cases of the “big 3” Russia is typically the last to get anything substantial.
That is true. I’m not a big fan of the Su-30sm radar all that much though, it’s good, it’s just controller is very hard to use it effectively.
Short range, R-77-1 is king,
Long range, aim120 is king.
It’s all how you play it tbh.
The performance of the fake Soyuz is way higher than the other ships. The only one that comes close is the Iowa and that’s just because it was an amazing ship IRL and it shows ingame (still should be better)

I don’t mind if AIM-120 is worse than MICA/R-77 close in, but it shouldn’t be as bad as it is now if you get what I mean

If you’re talking kds, then that’s not the stat you should look at.
Kds in naval count Ai kills
MICAs are pretty vile at any range below 20km, and still great for forcing a notch at 25km+, just don’t be expecting to be participating in the early game bvr jousting

If they equalized seeker on the A to Mica and made C-5 seeker the improved A/B one it actually is, as well as fixing the performance, it would be more fair
