Russian Teams Steamrolling NATO - Top Tier is Broken Again?

Ever heard of shows where you flex your military muscles ?

You probably wouldn’t, But at the same time why would you send 4 Mi-28 with 2 LMUR missiles when one or 2 could fulfill the task.

During the armoured couter attack towards Robotyne we saw fully loaded Ka-52Ms with maximum Vikhrs payloads.

These pictures clearly show that it fits with multiple pylons and is probably just a choice to not mount 8 of them at the same time.

USA doesn’t need to put an extra 8 missiles on a chopper to do that.
Especially when any customers know it can carry more.

Documents confirm it.

Probably because it’s safer to do it that way then bet everything on 1 card ? Not that hard to comprehend.

Of course you do m8

Sadly friend thats a Mi-8 and a Ka-52M not an Mi-28
One is a heavy lift helicopter and the other is Russias heaviest gunship/attack helicopter.

Those are also the single Pylons, here is the dual one.

12 Vikhrs can be carried by two pylons, leaving two open for other things.
8 LMURs take up all the available space.

Having 16 is a bigger fear factor than having 8.

Having 8 that are guaranteed kill is better than having 16 that suck

I don’t see “guarantee kill missiles” being written on them on shows, so your point is moot.

If you are going to have some input at least use the correct airframe.

Gaijin will add the Ka-52M probably before the end of year and players will be trying to justify it can hold 16 (maybe it can we have no proof)
However this discussion is regarding the LMUR in game and not on other platforms.

Mi-28 and so far no one even the manufatire of the helicopter, Russian sources can refute that it can carry more than 4

Ingame they are

It’s also more weight, more fuel and if you don’t anticipate the need to engage with that many targets why carry them.

You just gave yourself the answer why you don’t need 8 LMUR’s then, congratulations.
Or is it just the case for the Americans ?

Ok to summarize
AH64E: we know that it can carry 16 hellfires, we know that the JAGM is backwards compatible with the Hellfire launchers, we have brochures that it can carry 16 JAGMs, we do not have a picture of 16 JAGMs.
MI28: we do not have pictures of 8 LMURs, we do not know anything specific about launcher compatibility, we have brochures insinuating that i can carry only 4 (?)
Did i get that right?

Not at all, you are trying to justify why US helicopters havent got 16 missiles loaded up
During the Gulf some carried 16 Hellfires for attacks on SAMs etc, but the majority carried fewer for greater mission flexibility.

Guess what the manual says can carry 16 Hellfires

Not what the Mi-28 load sheet says regarding LMURS. Gaijin have allowed this for “balance” something they throw around when they dont want Russia to fall behind.

I’m talking about JAGMs on an air show. Please follow.

2 LMURs are lighter than 6 Vikhrs.

That’s why they kept RU without FnF for years, definitely not fallen behind.

If ChatGPT is to believed, this is an official US Army training website, which i don’t know is true or not.
