Russian Teams Steamrolling NATO - Top Tier is Broken Again?

And that means you have to play a CAP plane or be a free target because?

Im not getting into another “tank only mode” conversation here, im just stating what the description of GRB says what it is and has been for a very long time.

And I’m not arguing for it, I’m just pointing out that people that just want to play a damn tank deserve a little consideration.
If you concider that an attack on the very existence of CAS… well, that speaks of you more than me.

I’m sending some love for T-90m. -1° more gun depression than t80s lets goooo!

It’s just so incredibly limiting to play. It’s the definition of a 1 trick pony and that makes it boring and mediocre.

I play this game to have fun, if I wanted to experience being handicapped I would just log off the game and just go back to my irl life.

But…but…being pushed by multiple overconfident enemies and just popping smoke and some ess and then run around in circles with its crazy armor and slapping everything pushing through the smoke by sound queueing in the chaos is fun af wdym?^^ or well…it might be random af…but its still funny af if it works out

which massively relies on the enemies pushing you being braindead.

If I get close to an enemy T-90M it ends with said T-90M dead around 90% of the time.

my whole wt career is built upon braindead enemies^^ if they r smart then it gets problematic. i hate when that happens. and yeah not being able to reverse sidescrape hurts real bad…youll always have to rely on enemies pushing you, being terrible at coordinating multiple ppl pushes or just running.

I agree if the gameplay style doesn’t appeal to you, it’s really not worth it. But it’s good to keep him in your lineup because he’s strong at holding a map point against a push when your team is behind. Please be nicer to my boy💔😢 at least sometimes 🙏

One thing I hate when I run into a smart player while I’m in my T-90M isn’t the tank they’re using or how good they are that doesn’t scare me in the slightest. What really worries me is where the encounter takes place; if it’s near a hill and they have the high ground, they’ll always shoot at my breech, and that drives me crazy.

It only exists in my top tier Russian lineup since I don’t have any T-80s to replace it with. I have had it for years now and it’s still unspaded.

i mean thats the first thing you see of an enemy tank in that situation and the shot that 100% guarantees he cant shoot you. in any hilly terrain youre automatically disadvantaged in the t90 (unless its very slight hills with not too much gradient) even more so if the other guy has the high ground, bc he can see you first while the first thing you can see of him at all is his gun looking at you. its basically the same if your roles were reversed. just wiglle wiggle wiggle wiggle until you know you are in position to hit him back or if you feel confident shoot with cursor on his breech area from 3rd person bc that generally lets you get the shot off earlier than in gunner view. But then again, you might get trolled by the infamous russian gun depression while pushing over the hill (which again, generally is a bad idea in russian tanks if the enemy knows youre there and anticipates you pushing him).

And around a corner you play the peekaboo game until you can at least track him because he can’t reverse and work from there.

Damn, i already have all upgrades to new T-90M

This happens when I make a mistake or overextend, because practically any tank looking down at a Russian MBT will spot the turret roof and gun before I spot them; then, when they break my breech and move in for the kill, I simply bail out and come back for revenge.

“which massively relies on the enemies pushing you being braindead.”

You have heard of the average WT playerbase?..

That happens to any tank having the low ground. And lots of them have their first stage ammo in the back of the turret, which is then free to hit without the need to expose to return fire. But due to the much better gun depression on any tank thats not russian or chinese, in their mbts it can happen to you in a lot more places on the maps. All you can do then is go even further towards the hill hoping that at one point even they dont have enough gun depression to push over the hill, in general leaving you in an even more passive position, with wider angles to get pushed from and unable to stop enemies from closing in to swarm you.
But yeah overextending is the biggest danger when playing the t90m, you gotta embrace playing more controlled and not on the frontline or retreat as soon as you run out of allies.

Exactly, you’ve hit on an interesting pointsomething many players don’t grasp about the T-90M if you see your team dying on the minimap (am I the only one who checks it constantly?), you have to fall back. Even though you can take a beating and hold off an advance, you aren’t invincible; the prudent move is to retreat. Still, it’s a fantastic tank my favorite.

I like it very much as well. Cant wait to get the new one since i was on holidays and just came back. Stabilized commander sight with gen 3 thermals, tons of smokes and lws slaps.

And yes retreating when necessary can be such an effective tool. Enemies get overconfident, you make them run into the sightlines your allies are covering, enemies are leaving cover and good positions, its just awesome. If you watch ccs that play on top of the foodchain they constantly monitor at what point they will have to retreat. How often do you sit on a position holding sightlines but you cant help allies that are just getting into more and more difficult situations just because they only know one direction to move in, instead of luring enemies into being shot from their allies or the flanks?

I haven’t even considered getting the new T-90M.

Part of me would rather do 50 pushups and likely completely wreck my already fucked up arm irl permanently than play the T-90M again.

If you have to massively alter your playstyle and reduce your overall impact on the game to make a tank work it’s not a good tank. That makes it okay at best.
