Russian Teams Steamrolling NATO - Top Tier is Broken Again?

I asked some really darn good ARB players. They say it is. I’m taking their word over yours.

12.3 F/A-18A is not in the upper echelons of this list due to the MM, but it is definitely undertiered/broken in downtiers.

IPM1/AH-1Z duo on release. Broken.

Post BA-11 it was broken, just like other LDIRCM Helis :)

9Ls vs flareless jets. It was broken.

Same thing.

Best CAS player I know said it so, I trust his word.

Like I said, I am not justifying 10.3/7 BMPT or anything broken rn. Just dispelling that “RU is the only nation to get OP stuff”

The AH-1Z absolutely was busted on release. This was also still during the no max range on heli ATGM period, which made it even more busted.

They added the M1 in march and they had to move it up to it’s own BR so that downtiers would only see max 4 of them. It was that broken, it was clubbing everything else to death.

Then 6 months later when Russia finally gets a counterpart to the original M1 in the T-80B, gaijin just decides “you know what? this is the perfect moment to add the even better IPM1. And while we are at it we are also giving the US the new best AA (M247) and new best heli (AH-1Z) all in the same update.”

It was such a wild year.

Dude that must have absolutely sucked. Horrible role out - they really should’ve done major nation MBT roll out at once.

Sorry that happened for y’all. However, it doesn’t make the current situation right either. Reciprocity is dividing thr community rather than all of us acknowledging an ongoing pattern of behavior that is very destructive to the health of the community as a whole.

I think maybe that would be a better conversation that couls result in a better system for EVERYONE in how things are rolled out.

It isn’t - but currently it is the one who’s gotten the most force multipliers than can AND will snowball the match faster. And that’s the current pressing issue. It wasn’t right when they did it with the us way back when - and it isnt right now.

This is an ongoing issue that creates an environment that is primed for the player base to fight over because nobody is willing to forgive the past and rather address the on going pattern that’s the real issue.

A lot of time has passed and that thing is still a menace at it’s tier and I doubt it has it’s equal there.

So you’re entire argument is just I heard from a guy who’s says its broken therefor it is? The F2G-1 is good its not broken and their is better planes at the BR.

The F/A-18A being good in a complete downteir doesn’t make it broken as that would qualify just about every plane in the game as broken as everything above 10.3 would absolutely be considered broken. Bad argument

I actually did a little jogging down memory lane for the AH/1Z and upon release it wasn’t really all that broken it was good but definitely not broken considering how Hellfires preformed back in the day, Also a lineup being good doesn’t make a single vehicle broken.

The Z10ME was middle of the pack even after its munitions were given to it and continues to be so, but once again wasn’t broken upon release and by the time it got those munitions counterbalances were kind of coming to the game to somewhat keep these helicopters in check even then its still no LMUR.

The A-10 still fights flareless planes, yet still is not broken, wasn’t even the best plane of its own update lol.

The tram falls into this as well wasn’t really broken, far too slow and unlike the a10 it cant even pull insane rolls and such.

That’s good for the best CAS player you know doesn’t change the fact none of the Italian helicopters have ever been broken, especially given spikes suck lol.

“Can’t reload fast enough” literally has a faster reload than Leo and abrams from the get go

Depends on what tank you’re talking about.

standard reload for abrams is 5.0 aced, 5.3 expert.
if you’re not experting your abrams, that’s your fault.

Keep in mind both abrams and leo have significantly better shells than T-series do as well

Great players have good game sense and understanding of vehicles. On paper it is really good as well. Great engine/firepower and its a Corsair.

The only reason it isnt whipping lobbies is because 12.3 is permanent uptiers. It is simply too strong at that BR.

Do some research.

It is an LDIRCM Heli. It is broken.

It was lower BR in the past and spammed to all hell. Ruined that BR along with Su-25. Same with TRAM.

They were still the best Heli in their time, FnF Heli against literally 1 competent AA was pretty nuts.

If you have Lvl 0 crews at top tier, you’re not fit to play the BR.

Almost, the Abrams starts with 6.5 seconds at level 0.

I dont specifically remember the time the first 3 there got released got released so i cant exactly comment on that, but i remember the 5 second reload on NATO tanks, i also remember Merkava for example having the longest reload of all MBTs and the reload getting more to buff others as a result of the 2A7s.
I remember when 2A7V got added and dominated yea, i also remember when 2A7 along with every single other leopard has gotten basket which was quite literally a nerf for them.
I remember when SLM got added, and then when it got completely balled over the very next update with LDIRCMs (and its not like on release SLM was hard to defeat as you were able to break DL with literally firing off an FFAR or Zuni lmao)
I remember type 90s being the best 11.0 MBT getting constant downtiers and i can see it now at 11.7 seeing constant uptiers to 12.7.
M1A1 has been pretty much always undertiered and is still extremely good tank at 11.7.

But you wanna know what i dont remember?
Pantsir getting nerfed.
LDIRCMs getting nerfed.
LMURs getting nerfed. (The “SAPHE depending on speed” is not a nerf, its still the exact same as before and next update its getting buffed with MITL effective LOAL!)
Kh38s getting nerfed.
Su34 or 30s extremely controversial ground ordinance getting nerfed be it in number or availability with the sole exception of Grom-1s as gaijin didnt like you were able to fire them off from airfield for free RP.
BMPTs ammo belts actually reliably exploding on hit.

I dont disagree with you that there were definitely some stupid strong or busted things added for other nation, sure. However i would argue that they were more outliers than constant “one upping” of the previous things.
Same way i agree with you that germany has some broken things like Turm III that was at comically low BR, or on release Puma which is being just milled over to eternity, i at the same time say that russia getting Su34, 30SM, 30SM2, 28NM with LDIRCM and then LMURs, S1 for years and now literally SM SV which is THE most broken SPAA in the entire game was genuinely either incompetent decision making or straight up bias. Which one? who knows, but its certainly not good in either case.

Both things can be true at the same time.
Both statements of “other nations had broken vehicles” and “russia is getting an unfair advantage continuously over the last few updates” can be true at the same time.

SLM was an overcorrection, and then LDIRCM was. Though they were definitely intentional overcorrections.

Was 9.7 on dev with ~540mm pen JM33. Released at 10.0 iirc and you can guess what happened.

Environment changed. S1 is still very good but there is better options. Its great for munition interception which is pretty meta.

I will never justify LDIRCM. Such a dumb addition no matter what nation got it.

They quite literally did get nerfed tho. MITL isnt here yet but the biggest change was the amount of lofting, which was the main annoyance of LMUR, as it could bypass Trophy and sometimes smoke. There was also other small nerfs.

I think KH-38s would be fine in current meta if only the 34 had them tbh. Kinda a stinky platform. KH-38 was definitely overkill.

Missiles kill now with more than 50% chance so its w/e for me.

Russia is simply the most played these past months. So they are getting more stuff. Now its the US’s time to shine.

the loft change is quite literally unsubstantial in most cases bar city maps. In city maps yea they are worse sure. In every other case? still the same. The terrain following chucks them at half a kilometer altitude. That is more than enough to keep a constant LOS on anything youre firing at and its also not even a hard terrain limit as the change in altitude isnt super sharp.
The main “annoyance” lol wasnt loft, it was the strikedown angle, which is still the same. Because it still hits at a very sharp angle towards the rooftop and overpressures.

A 10x better option than what we currently have, however not done by gaijin and so moot at this point. Yes i too would be happier if the broken busted missile was limited to strike flanker while Su30s used the still more than good Kh29s but unfortunately for both of us, thats not how things are.

Ok but heres the funny argument for you, is Russia played the most these past few months because people want to play it or is it the most played because it has the most handheld CAS and SPAA in the entire game.
Their tanks might not be the most meta but they are still good (atleast in my opinion) but you cannot deny that russia has just dominated “these past months” the GRB via controlling the air via CAS and SPAAs.
The only time russia was getting giga blown over was when SLM initially got added because wow, finally an SPAA that can kill players that cant play CAS but can press space 12 times for 6 kill streak.

Loft change is big because Trophy intercepts it now, and with introduction of V2 Trophy that’s just goated.

As for strike down angle it’s fair enough for half the missiles to get more consistency. Not justifying NM or 64E tho.

As for last paragraph I’d have to go look at statshark months which I’m not home to do so shrug.

it means they also sometimes just hit the turret cheeks and do very little permanent damage.

It’s rare but super funny when it happens, same when Kh38 just slams your turret cheek and you survive.

That is simply not true. In fact, the new tool in-game is very useful to prove this:

Trophy upper detection zone is only 35°, not even 45°, let alone aggressive angles such as 65°+. The only scenario in which a LMUR doesn’t loft enough to bypass Trophy is if it’s fired below 2km of range. Other than that, that’s because the tank is pointing upward like in a slope and thus manually increases the detection angle of Trophy.

This could always happen. These FnF missiles hit a random spot on the tank. You can roll a lucky dice and get hit in the turret cheek.
