There we go, you claim russia’s system is flawless while the tried and true one is obviously decadent capitalist trash, and all testing, irl statistics and examples should be ignored.
“ Damaged vs. Destroyed: The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have focused on the number of vehicles damaged and returned to service. A June 2024 report in the Israeli newspaper Maariv indicated that over 500 Israeli armored vehicles (including tanks, APCs, and bulldozers) have incurred damage since October 2023, with dozens completely decommissioned.”
It literally doesnt state how many tanks so why would he be wrong?
You didnt claim it was flawless but why would you give a completely combat untested APS more credibility than a combat tested that has received multiple updates
“Nearly two dozen” lost: In a December 2023 report, Business Insider , citing open-source information, stated that Israel had lost “nearly two dozen tanks” since October 7
Lost, not damaged. It is estimated in several news sources to be between 300-500 MBTS were knocked out in need of repair. And a couple dozen totally destroyed.
Because from the combat footage I’ve seen, it can’t stop a simple RPG. I’ve seen at least 6-7 instances of that occurring. And that’s only recorded instances.
The IDF and their repair core have stated less than 10 MK4s destroyed, and a quick google image search will have you seeing the same 5 tanks being regarded as ‘50 destroyed’, so he likely fell for propaganda
The total AFV will include a LOT of Namers, Pumas and various APCs (including a few m113 and nacherzit), alongside the armoured bulldozers.
I would assume Russian the APS would likely not saying definitely, is better, because they have developed it to help agaisnt APFSDS.
I said I would bet on it, and I even added that it would need upgrades to defeat drones, therefore implying it’s not perfect. But given the price tag it’s likely a good system.
I don’t 100% bet on anything. Nothing is surefire.
