They had disagreements with the manufacturer. I read that from what you posted but unless I glanced over it, and I doubt I did, it didn’t say anything about dropping it as an option entirely.
The “current plan” I can see from the parliament document says procurement by 2027.

It’s not a matter of disagreeing or not. It’s a matter of understanding and it seems like the message is not going through. Italy’s plan is to get a stop-gap option to work towards future projects. That stop-gap option was supposed to be the 2A8, until the agreement was not found between KNDS and Leonardo, turning it into a joint venture between Leonardo and Rheinmetall. I’ll try to find more up to date articles but that is from June 2024, a little early. I’ll try to edit this message with it.

Your article is outdated, as they decided to call off the purchase of Leopard 2A8s past summer of 2024, that article is from feburary
Feb 2024 news. My article is from June 2024. It’s late news and sadly most non Italian articles or defence outlets have not covered it.

Excuse me for the article being Italian, but this is the first Ariete C2 being delivered. Quite recent.
Well, until they report that they have totally cancelled it, I would assume the deal is still on.

That’s a lie, the T90M we have in the game is the Proryv-1 early production version from 2017.

If an article from February says they are buying them, while an article from june states they aren’t, then i’m going to trust the article from june.
Fairly simple, the parliament and military made up their mind in those 4 months and chose Ariete C2 in the mean time
