Russian Teams Steamrolling NATO - Top Tier is Broken Again?

Israel hasn’t announced a number of total losses.

They have about 1700-2000 mbts.
Mostly mk.2s but 600 merkavas with trophy

The IDF and their repair core have stated less than 10 MK4s destroyed, and a quick google image search will have you seeing the same 5 tanks being regarded as ‘50 destroyed’, so he likely fell for propaganda

The total AFV will include a LOT of Namers, Pumas and various APCs (including a few m113 and nacherzit), alongside the armoured bulldozers.

Less than 600 were used across the entire Gaza conflict, Israel has other borders to protect

Do you have counter evidence? I’ve provided news outlets. You’ve just provided an opinion, as per usual

Which is probably also why they can barely produce it.

Youve provided one news source that mentions nearly two dozen tanks lost which is kinda far away from 300.

Also you forgot to answer that question buddy

Well of course, they had 40~ before the Ukraine war. I think if I recall correctly they have 68~80 now, somewhere in that ball park.

It is the most expensive Russian tank ever.

I doubt this, because not even all Mk.4s in israeli service currently have trophy.

I would assume Russian the APS would likely not saying definitely, is better, because they have developed it to help agaisnt APFSDS.
I said I would bet on it, and I even added that it would need upgrades to defeat drones, therefore implying it’s not perfect. But given the price tag it’s likely a good system.

I don’t 100% bet on anything. Nothing is surefire.

The few news sources I looked up in a quick search all have the same info, so either Israel is lying to them, or they all somehow are lying in the same way.

Ok so you believe the claims of a russian manufacturer more than the verifiable performance of a known and exported system. Alright.

I mean looking at your news regarding the DM73 i would maybe overthink the quality of your research

Already in service since last year. DM83 itself is already being field-tested by the Bundeswehr and will enter service next year i.e the “Make Relikt a dead weight” APFSDS round.

Given he used the google AI summary as his main argument, i’d doubt the legitimacy of any claims he makes.

Fact of the matter is that Trophy was extremely effective, more so than drozd or arena ever will be, and we’ll see more of it with the booming export market for APS systems within western armies

I mean it could also be that the people writing these articles aren’t very clued in on military stuff, it happens with lots of stuff.

Same concept as when news articles talking about a military vehicle and then using a picture of a completely different vehicle.

Due to expense. It’s being practical.

And the “verifiable” Israel Rafael APS clearly isn’t all that well off if it’s not working against RPGs.

So what’s worse, the one that the is “combat tested” that hasn’t been all that reliable, or the non combat testing one that has a higher expense?

The only solid figures come from military analysts on twitter, and I highly doubt he will accept those so I won’t bother sending them.

If you don’t want to do the research though, simply google ‘destroyed merkava 4’ and you’ll see the same 4-5 tanks from 2023 onwards, and they were all lost to drones & IEDs

The only time where Trophy isn’t defeating RPG is with an enemy saturation attack, expending the APS charges & overwhelming it.

That’s the only weakness of Trophy besides the typical APS drawbacks, and the Merkava’s armour typically mitigates the damage when Trophy fails

That you know of, and regardless, If Dm73 was introduced in 2016, the game isn’t at that “age” yet. As far as I can tell we are at 2015. Meaning you’d have to wait until more modern systems and tanks come in to get dm73, and if you say 2024 which is conflicting with @H_ngma then it would still be post SepV3 and the others.

But it’s weird you two have conflicting sources, and I’m not going after you like I have a vendetta, unlike certain people.

Why would I accept anything from someone who thought a 152mm was a 125mm?

Christ you could’ve probably thought it was an 57mm.

In what sense? We already have a lot of vehicles from way past 2016.
