Russian APSs have just been deployed with the newest T-90ms.
The T72B3 is a tad bit older.
And arena M not arena is on the T90s. I couldn’t tell you the difference between Arena and Arena M though.

They had 500 get damaged, with a bunch beyond repair.
500 out of 2000, not saying all were APS threats, but many had to have been.
(To the mod who is likely to look at this, the crew abandoned the tank after it was struck btw)

Thing with the T-14 APS is that I’ll believe it when I see it.
I take military talking about their equipment with a grain of salt, but Russian talk with an exceptionally large amount of salt.

90% of that number would have been to mines, IEDs or drones.
As stated ‘within the expected threat window’ being rocket/RPG launched within the APS’ interception area, it has intercepted ~85-90 percent of stated threats.
If you’re going to dredge up images of a Merkava that was destroyed while stationary and abandoned to support misinformation then that’s laughable
Of the random crap they do come up with, from what I saw with the videos and what not, they put ALOT of effort into getting the T-14 to be the “next gen” tank.
I’d bet on it, especially watching videos about it, worst case scenario I’m wrong.
There’s also the new Vaccum-1 and 2 punching well above that of the older 125mms.
That’s why they can’t produce them in higher numbers.
Newer tech, and a lot more material is needed for the hull, gun, ammo, etc.

It wasn’t mis information…? Thanks for assuming. No, it was hit by an RPG-7, disabled, then abandoned. There’s a few similar videos that can’t be posted, because the crew likely didn’t survive.
I think the trophy system is only good on paper, and likely only work 50% the time.

And why would you assume russian APS is better in any way shape or form?
Over the entire conflict, the IDF lost just under 30 Merkavas of ALL variants (including the Mk2s and Mk3s they were fielding), with less than 50 being damaged beyond reasonable repair, far from your 500 number

Lost, not damaged. It is estimated in several news sources to be between 300-500 MBTS were knocked out in need of repair. And a couple dozen totally destroyed.

Because from the combat footage I’ve seen, it can’t stop a simple RPG. I’ve seen at least 6-7 instances of that occurring. And that’s only recorded instances.

Please link these sources, because i think the IDF only has around 400 Merkava MK4s in active service.
And youve seen virtually nothing of the T14s APS so why the assumption that it is much better?
