If the game keeps adding more and more modern stuff theyll probably have to once we hit actual, properly modeled 2000s western equipment consistently
If they are going to delude people into thinking modern russian Naval or Air assets are better than the Chinese or NATO equivalents then we’re in for a rough ride
Well theres only so much bs that they can get away with. Rn it works but every modern addition at this point will either make the bias more obvious or create a gap that the ussr tree cant close

Buk is good, but far from the best. His size on crappy maps hinders him, the radar is strange, he struggles with multipath even with plenty of explosives, and helicopters bully him.

whats wrong with its radar?
When playing with them, sometimes it doesn’t detect targets even when they are visible or flying low, and the launcher’s radar is quite buggy; sometimes I try to turn it on and it simply doesn’t turn on.

The viking (TELAR radar) is fine, however the SRC radar on the TADS is absolutely massive and yet struggled to pick up anything besides munitions, and struggles even more to maintain that TWS track on them, furthermore it’s difficult to keep track of who and what you have fired on.
Idk it feels sluggish, crappy and unfinished, and i prefer to keep the main radar down, and aim both my TELAR radars at the enemy air spawn

Yep I have to be honest the missile itself is insanely busted but it’s almost completely counteracted by the fact that the BUK is the freest kill in the game. If you see an inch of launch tubing poking up, say bye bye lol. Even 7.62 kills it.
