Russian Teams Steamrolling NATO - Top Tier is Broken Again?

He was talking about the brochure, and the discussion around the brohure being faked.

wow, critical thinking is hard isnt it

you know that is just saying that there is a chance the image is real despite it looking obviously photo shopped

and isnt even addressing that those are clearly mockup missiles which doesnt meet gaijins standard of evidence

I mean were not really arguing here. I absolutely agree with you that the Ho ri needs to go asap and the F16AJ with it. I’m just saying that they’re both not really a good comparison to the KH38MT

Yeah the amount and quality of sources needed for some stuff is insane if you compare it to some Russian thingies

And if you keep making claims without evidence then no one will listen to you.

So why manufacturer must destroy missile to get it’s seeker ?

And how does that change his conclusion ?

The weapon would be destroyed by removing the fuel.

It was pointing out how absurd your idea that they carted a real missile into the trade show.

You then pivoted to them installing a real seeker into a mockup body, which is just as absurd.

I was just making sure everyone knew he was talking about the brochure, just so no-one took it out of context because that would be bad, right?

Which never happen since i stateted that it could be mockup with real seeker.

Which it isn’t… Next

Quite a bit. Take the Iranian 5th Gen Fighter.

Looks great! Until you realise it’s made of cardboard. Plus it’s about 25% too small to actually carry a pilot (unless the IRAF start employing toddlers as pilots). Edit out the surroundings and put it in a brochure - surely it meets the exact same reqs as Gaijin used for KH-38.

Russian has a long and storied history of wheeling out very good looking stuff - only for it to a) not exist as a functioning weapon or b) it not working when the other side shoot back.

Mockups =/= Functional Weapons Systems

This changes Gunjobs conclusion, that in his opinion there is enough evidence to keep the missile in the game ?
Okay then.

It doesn’t but his conclusion also doesn’t change the fact that the 38MT no business being on the planes it’s on in game

No, it just has to be technically compatible. and because su30sm is a derivative of 30mki, it falls under technicality rules of being able of being added to it.
(IRL su-30sm doesn’t have kh38, it’s not integrated and I agree that it shouldnt have it, but on a technical compatibility, its fair game. Gaijin picks and chooses when to adhere to this rule, but in this case it’s technically compatible)

The only fixed wing planes that actually has kh-38 irl are su-35 and su-34 and mig 29

that’'s what i said earlier, giajin picks and chooses when to adhere to this rule. theyre inconsistent as hell on it.
IMO they just wanted to just give kh38 as many carriers as possible

Yeah weird as fuck tho that only Russia gets it in a positive way. Go ask for more hosbo on the tornado or quad racks on the golden eagle if you think otherwise

yeah ik, and i don’t agree with what gaijin does becuase theyre inconsistent (looks at you swedish f-18/fa18s)

I think I know where the confusion comes from

I posted mockups, you said they don’t look like the things in your photo. That could have been taken one of two ways - 1) The thing in your photo isn’t a mockup or 2) The mockup in your photo doesn’t look like the mockups I posted.

I took it as 1, perhaps you meant 2 but who knows.

To be clear -

Noone is taking a real missile to a trade show, any photo purporting to show a kh-38mt at a trade show is most certainly a mockup. And no, noone is taking a very valuable seeker head and putting it onto a mockup missile body and then taking that to a trade show.

Seekers can of course be removed from weapons, its required for maintenance etc.

if you want an image of the actual seekerhead, here it is, but who knows of its a mockup or not (I think its a mockup)

They did.

They wanted to give russia a longer range IR missile and so just made the thing up.

It wouldn’t be so infuriating if they were just honest.
