RU haven’t had the best helicopter for years at the time before LDRICM came.
CAS isn’t the only thing planes do at top tier, don’t forget that.
It’s still a magical force field.
Both have fictional force fields and both have 10km+ IR missiles. Pretty much the same.
JAGM might be worse than LMUR but that is mitigated by it’s quantity.
The russian military was reliant on French Thermal optics exports until the economic sanctions began? You are telling me that they independently were able to create thermal optics of higher quality thats production was so efficient that they can utilise them in a one way attack munition? Despite also not being able to put them on their tank/ ifv fleet?
The Kh38mt require several massive leaps in logic to assert that its real and functional. You talk about delusion as an attack against for purposes I wont entertain a response to. While making massive logical jumps to justify the inclusion of a munition that doesnt exist.
As for the Ch2s combat record with the UA, yea Mines and drones are effective against tanks. We know this. The shortcomings of the Ch2s specifically are its down on power and the barrel doesnt last as long as smoothbores, no other real complaints about it have emerged that are unique to the Ch2 platform.
Only 2 ch2s have been fully destroyed, the first being destroyed by a Kornet after the tank struck a mine, the 2nd by a Lancet drone, while another 2 have missions kills, the 3rd “destroyed” ch2 was struck by a drone in the drivers hatch with little actual damage, and the 4th drone struck a ch2s gun mantlet rendering the vehicle ineffective.
and the su30 is also one of the best planes for air to air in the game
as I said, mi28 should have no defense against a missile above it while 64E should, thats a pretty major difference
its not really mitigated by quantity, its damage is very lackluster and its incorrect lack of lofting makes it much more likely to miss
you know, pantsir by far the best SACLOS AA and BUK, by far the best ARH AA, neither are affected by LDIRCM and the large proxy radius and high datalink update speed for BUK mean it is much better against helis than any other ARH AA
At least as ineffective as NATO SPAA for many years.*
SPAA was made ineffective the moment we got LGBUs and people started learning you can launch them from 12 - 16km away [20km before the speed corrections].
Adding an OP missile when I was already using an OP missile on my Harrier GR7 and later F-16C and F-111F, did not change the balance of top BR CAS because we still lacked the range of CLAWS or longer to deal with these platforms.
Apaches have the best guns, all helicopters face the same SPAA, and JAGMs are at least slightly better.
You can make that point (although i don’t agree on the heli part), but that would be forgetting the missiles. You don’t need to be best in every category to break balance, just one thing and it can all fall apart (KH38 + Pantsir Combo) which seems to now have been replaced by “broken DIRCM + LMUR”
Prior to LDIRCM RU hardly had the best helicopter in the game, especially while still using Vikhrs.
Magic field called LDIRCM isn’t a thing on RU helicopters only.
x16 JAGMs are also 10km+ FnF missiles strapped on a helicopter with a magic force field.
Its probably cause alot players avoid top tier, thats why you likely see these high match numbers for Ru.
Its just no fun since LMUR and DIRCM happened. You can’t shot them with alot AA systems and these LMURs…such an unessesary addition. Its like the death of GRB. Pointless to spawn a tank right now.
To clarify, “main” meant tracked turreted vehicle with anti-tank gun, not to be confused with MBT.
USA: Stingray, and before that, T1E1 90 12 months. Almost got there for USA, almost.
Sweden: CV90105 TML, and before that: M24DK [3 months].
Germany: PzSpWg P204 KwK 39/1, 6 months.
China: VT-4, before that it was VT-5 6 months,
UK: RAM 1, before that it was Harry Kopkins I 6 months.
From T-90M to T-72B3A was 15 months.
You’ll note I did not include premium vehicles or event vehicles.
That applies to pretty much ever top tier MBT. Ukraine is arguably the closest we’ve gotten and that’s outdated tanks vs a mix of modern and out dates tanks.
There’s no proof anything that’s considered high tier is effective against modern MBTs. We luckily haven’t had a truly modern war with peer nations. The unfortunate wars we currently had since the Cold War have been non peer nations.
Most of the new “OP” Russian vehicles are less to do with being broken and just compression issues. Like most issues of the game it’s just balance between BRs not working as the snail is paranoid increased wait times equals lost revenue.
I do think the Buk will be adjusted either in a BR increase or reduction of either missiles or launchers. It’s just drastically different than the other multi vehicle SPAAs as it’s a medium size missile launcher. The in-game equivalents are smaller in size. Only the Aster is close to the size but has no where near the warhead size.
The Buk is closer to a Patriot than a SHORAD launcher.
I agree that compression is a real problem that Gaijin is reluctant to fix.
Still being limited to 12.0 makes no sense to me as I doubt queue times would drastically change if 12.3 / 12.7 were present.
