So when are we going to actually force leave people out of a plane instead of letting them float from the sky and still shoot off missiles when they’re on fire the entire way down?
Plot twist, imagine if all planes does that , not just russians…
in my experience everybody does that Russian or not.
I love how Russia is the scapegoat for every situation in this game.
Just so you know pretty much every plane can do it, and all of top tier planes have HMD (F-2 being the exception that I can think of but then again you have an eye of sauron on that so whatever), it’s not just Russia…
but but but, russian bias. :D
I’ve only seen the russian planes do it yesterday so forgive me if my statement is made in what only I have witnessed
There are 2 notable differences though
-
IBRIS radar, it has the largest FoR area of any radar in-game and thus can lock on and fire with the greatest ease, prior to this major update, R-77-1 was one of only 2 properly HOBS capable ARH missiles as well, so the likelyhood of success with the tactic was dramatically higher. After, others like the Typhoon might be able to achieve the same, but low speed AMRAAM launches are extremely poor.
-
Survivability, The sheer size of the Su-30SM2 vs others, usually means that a hit is more likely to soft kill it than any others, sure, a Typhoon, Rafale, etc might loose wing and still be able to fire after taking a missile, but more often than not is dead. Su-30SM2s sheer size means that more often than not, it might be dead, but the pilot isnt forced out, they more than anything else seem to flat spin after being “killed”
The combo makes the Su-30SM2 the worst offender, not the only one, but certainly the worst. Ive seen a Typhoon do it maybe twice, and generally just ignore after I kill them. Su-30SM2s I treat as death spheres and pro-actively defend against after killing them, just incase simply as a force of habbit
But the fix should be applied to all aircraft:
-
model wiring and system damage that would prevent firing after death (they literally added this and then disabled it a week later)
-
Model the G-impact on the pilot from being in a flat spin
-
reduce the threshold for a forced ejection
Any 2, but ideally all 3 would resolve the issue.
Only the F-2 for fighters lacks HMD yup 100% lol
(Only the MLU for Finland has the same equipment as the other 14.0 hornets like the better RWR and HMD.)
(I’d include the OCU but it has IR HMS, and the new French prem F16 iirc just got its radar HMD.)
The first one on it’s own would dramatically decrease the number of these incidents I saw in just one singular session of trying to play ARB and being generally successful
Why would anyone play the Sad-18 considering the one that you unlock after that is better in every way at the same BR…
Regardless, it’s easier to count which top tier planes “don’t” have HMD than the other way around. F-2 is a notable example of a capable fighter without an HMD.
Because some of us were told get bent and only had the F-18C on release against the superior US model and gaijin ignored literally any and all suggestions like making it an actual unique Finnish hornet to be on par with the US model.
This is easily solved by something gaijin was testing, where some aircraft systems had a chance to be destroyed when the aircraft was hit. like, HMS, radar, the fire control system in general. if an aircraft is falling with both wings gone it is probable that it cannot use those systems, all gaijin has to do is expand the aircraft that have that model. right now I think it is only on the A-10C
It was added to everything, if the fuselage took enough damage, then it would “model” electrical systems being damaged, and then they removed it about a week later
What was added:
It being basically removed:
