Russian Bias in 2025?

To be fair Gaijin had to invent the multi vehicle mechanic to give the others proper SPAA and looking at the spaghetti code that might really have taken that long

It’s almost comedic how the IRIS-T had to be fought over tooth and nail only to still be given performance BELOW what its supposed to be, and then there’s this thing.

Even fought hard it still missing range speed and ability to bypass magic missile forcefield
BUK already does what it can in dev
Well it already show who they care the most.

Well, play devils advocate here.

If all top tier nations’ offerings are equal - no bias, no particular lineups having lots of toys over those of another. Surely a player of average (or above) skill will tend to do well across the board.

Let’s use the Ka-52 as an example. Still one of the best helos in the game. Before the damage model was fixed (only a few years too late) it was perfectly possible to tank 120mm shells to the face in that thing, lose half the rear end of the entire helicopter and still manage to fly around while ‘dead’ and rocket the crap out of someone.

The equivalent Tigers, Apaches of the same tier…erm…not so much. So, are we to assume that it is collective skill issue where everyone who flies an Apache is a complete muppet and every Kamov driver is an absolute legend? Let’s be clear here, if anything the Ka-52 should be statistically worse on account of being accessible to wallet warriors.

Or…do we actually see that many (in fact most) players trend towards doing FAR better in the Ka-52 than the non-Russian equivalent - tier for tier. Even now with the most egregious broken bits dialled back?

I doubt that’s coming soon as it looks like a mechanic that’s not very healthy for the game, especially at this point in time.

Depends on how many tanks would be getting those smokes and how strong it would be. At some time it’ll need to come, probably when we start seeing radar seekers en masse.

That’s missing but I wasn’t referring to that.
It’s weird how, with only two crew left, you can reload and operate your turret at the same time.

In reality, gunner would need to change the seats first, do everything loader needed to do and then change seats again, before shooting or moving the turret. That’s easily a 20s process which would drastically impact your performance but I’m fine with that not being in the game for playability reasons.

It (post release control) was mentioned during one of the recent Russian Dev streams, as waiting for all nations to have the option.

Literally just add it to the “generic” smoke formulation across the board as a “gaming convention”, it’s no worse than the modeling Contrast seekers as Correlation seekers, or duplicating the WGU-10/B’s performance across the board for IIR seeker performance.

Okay that hurt me a little lol even i ate Kamov with AH-MK1 but yeah doesn’t make AH MK1 better

because it does better than Apache and probably MI-28NM gonna better than most heli along with AH-64E (maybe?)

That assumes ofcourse that the decadent westoid munitions don’t get Gaijin’d.

‘We think your anti-tank missiles can’t hit tanks. We think is marketing lie.’

I agree it shouldn’t be added, but please tell me how a sitting heli spamming F&F missile being untargettable by top-of-the-line SAMs is healthy for the game ?
Is Soyuz healthy for top tier naval ? Was Ka-50 healthy for the game back then ? KH38 ?

Either you restrain from adding certain mechanics for certain nations because they are harmful for balance, or you don’t. That to me is the real double standard here

Heh, i suppose you could increase the penalty. Though you could say repairing an autoloader in 20s isn’t really realistic either (or any part of the tank, for that matter).

I don’t think it’s a good idea even then, but they will do whatever they want at the end of the day. Something similar as latest IR missiles for ARB, I don’t think they fit in the current game at all, even if all nations received their part.

Implementing it differently for the sake of simplicity or limitations is one thing, while knowing which tanks would get it is another.

SACLOS missiles existed for a long time so at least it’s possible to counter.

If I’m not mistaken other helicopters are getting that system as well.

IR AGMs are widespread for years now and they mostly dominated AAs at their respective tiers.

Repairing components is unrealistically fast for all vehicles, so no one would be benefiting from that.

Increasing the reload speed to 20-30s with only two crew would hurt a lot, and autoloaded tanks wouldn’t be affected. If the roles were reversed, I believe there would be much more talk about this unfair advantage that Gaijin conveniently doesn’t want to implement.

2M and 2S38 have awful stats though.

There’s no correlation between worse stats and something being premium.
It also isn’t a premium to begin with…

Mi-28mn take his place. Ka52 now is B tier at best.

Most players suck with helicopters, especially that don’t have f&f. Even before the introduction of iris-t, Ka52 stats were at the UHT level.

I meant Ka-50 - got -52 on the brain for some reason.

The BMP-2M and 2S38 are another classic example. Take any player stats you wish, any skill level and look up if they have the 2M or 2S38. Then contrast and compare with a non-russian IFV of the same BR and I can more or less assure you that the player will have done better in the RU vehicles.

There is a correlation of premium vehicles (higher tiered ones being the worst) often having dire stats and I’m really not sure how you can play at top tier or anywhere approaching it and be singularly unaware. XM-1, TURMS, Click-Baits - all solid tanks at their BR - but often bought by wallet warriors without a lineup behind them. Which often leads to one-death leaving, which scuppers the winrate at that bracket.

But if you take Saclos, you can’t counter aircraft spamming from 15+ km away

Same deal as chose tank / SPAA and why there’s an entire TO mode thread

Small difference is that SLM will now be able to target those (at least those without IRCM). They should still implement the blade return though, so that they can be targetted by CAMMs, Buk, Asters and SLAMRAAMs effectively

@TROOPER7

something something only russian tanks eat bombs

Spyder, Sky Sabre and SAMP-T will be the same
We don’t even have proof the missile exists we have a Russian 3rd party article as the only proof it was fitted with an ARHM.
