Some of the devs must have been half American too which explains why USA is OP as hell at 6.7. I also suspect the dev has been dating Chinese girlfriends as to their 9.0 lineup is ridiculously OP and intentionally overlook under-br’d vehicles like the ATGM slinger and ztz96 clearly doesn’t belongs where it’s currently is, must have been afraid to piss their Chinese gf off and getting breakups.

I mean sources have been posted that the SEPv3 has improved hull armor, so they can’t get around it for that one.

But the main thing we don’t know for sure is how much it was improved.

I’m confused is Russia trash or is it overpowered? Because it can’t be both, Schrondinger’s Russian bias.

NATO tanks are pretty much more powerful. People here have problem killing them while when i play nato tank there is no Problem. Most Bias happend in WW2 to early cold war Era that what I see… Top tier shall have no problem.

After these latest changes I have to disagree.

Why did the Leo 2s and Abrams tanks get turret baskets that somehow block rotation when hit, but the T-Series’ autoloader, that is also connected to the turret in a similar fashion does not block it?

Why is russia the only nation with ATGMs capable of going above mach 2 with 30km range? Why does the vikhir both have proximity fuze and impact fuze simultaneously (with active proxy it detonates off the ground)?

Why was the Pantsir added to Russia instead of the Tor-M1? Why was a SPAA that outclassed every competitor by a good 30% needed?

Why does the Mi28s DLIRCM work against datalinked IRIS-T? Why does it work against them in the first place if the manufacturer of said DLIRCM states that it only works against up to third generation seekers when the IRIS-T has a fith generation seeker?

Why are the Ka52 and Mi28 not higher in BR even though they are arguably as capable as the Eurocopters and MH60?

Why does russia get a SU30 and SU34 with more KH38s even though the KH38 has been a menace to GRB since it’s addition on the SU25SM; its only downside being the subpar launch platform back then?

I can keep going on about how russian top tier is arguably still some of the most broken shit ever.

I have never seen it ever fly that far. I literally got hit by the new german anti air at literally 20km.

They not block rotation they have systems that needed for it atleast Abrams does. Players asked for more modules to be added to nerf Soviet techtree they didn’t expect consequences that will effect them.

That was really old from 2009 (?) brochure newer ones say it maybe possibly can at this moment we don’t have any clear information.

Well that just wierd question different nations got overperforming vehicles in some moment of War Thunder history not only Soviet techtree.

Irl pilot activates proximity fuse or doesn’t on the missile devs didn’t add whole system for one missile.

Partially true. Doing sideshots, created very little spalling for russian tanks, it was very hit or miss. The same could be about NATO tanks but not to the frequency of the russian ones.

The straw that broke the cammal’s back was the 2S38.

Even then the idea that turret baskets can completely disable the turret from rotating is very unlikely. This is and it somehow spalls lot more than a round hitting an auto loader.

What makes it worse is that only two MBTs have and some more should’ve been added this major update. Detailed modules is not meant for balancing, it is a new mechanic and supposed to be a new standard for vehicle modeling.

Regardless it shouldn’t really be able to deflect IRIST missiles because it has multiple guidance systems as redundancy.

I’m honestly sick of the “gajin hasn’t modeled that in yet” excuse because it’s just lazy. It’s a poorly implemented mechanic, it’s simple as that.


max BRs of helicopters need to be increased as it’s quite obvious they are very compressed. No one can argue that an apache can somehow compete with the likes of the Z10ME, Mi28NM/Ka52 and FnF helis in top tier.


This is true but we shouldn’t say that since x nation has been OP, y nation should also be OP. Gaijin needs to strive for a more balanced game but to limited development, money incentives, and time constraints, they ruin the balance.

Though I think this major update is a lot more balanced for GRB than the prior one. Top tier Naval is a different story, and Air is just missile spam.


They easily could’ve added this when fuze selection was implemented for MP rounds in tanks.
