SACLOS missiles existed for a long time so at least it’s possible to counter.
If I’m not mistaken other helicopters are getting that system as well.
IR AGMs are widespread for years now and they mostly dominated AAs at their respective tiers.
Repairing components is unrealistically fast for all vehicles, so no one would be benefiting from that.
Increasing the reload speed to 20-30s with only two crew would hurt a lot, and autoloaded tanks wouldn’t be affected. If the roles were reversed, I believe there would be much more talk about this unfair advantage that Gaijin conveniently doesn’t want to implement.
I meant Ka-50 - got -52 on the brain for some reason.
The BMP-2M and 2S38 are another classic example. Take any player stats you wish, any skill level and look up if they have the 2M or 2S38. Then contrast and compare with a non-russian IFV of the same BR and I can more or less assure you that the player will have done better in the RU vehicles.
There is a correlation of premium vehicles (higher tiered ones being the worst) often having dire stats and I’m really not sure how you can play at top tier or anywhere approaching it and be singularly unaware. XM-1, TURMS, Click-Baits - all solid tanks at their BR - but often bought by wallet warriors without a lineup behind them. Which often leads to one-death leaving, which scuppers the winrate at that bracket.
But if you take Saclos, you can’t counter aircraft spamming from 15+ km away
Same deal as chose tank / SPAA and why there’s an entire TO mode thread
Small difference is that SLM will now be able to target those (at least those without IRCM). They should still implement the blade return though, so that they can be targetted by CAMMs, Buk, Asters and SLAMRAAMs effectively
Spyder, Sky Sabre and SAMP-T will be the same
We don’t even have proof the missile exists we have a Russian 3rd party article as the only proof it was fitted with an ARHM.
I thought the direct impact GBU thing got fixed. Didnt use GBUs at all until it was, and I did that a while ago. Had problems with almost every nations tank, not only Russia
1- LOAL/MITL benefits Soviets if added.
2- MMW munitions benefit Soviets as well.
3- DIRCM was added in 2023 to multiple helicopters. It wasn’t just Soviet/Chinese.
DIRCM blocks all IRCCM missiles in-game currently.
4- Soyuz being as strong as Vanguard, Iowa, and Bismark is not the Russian bias you think it is.
Hating on Soyuz because it’s “unfinished” is hating on Britain and Germany as well.
5- Ka-50 never out-ranged ADATS. ADATS was always 10km, Ka-50 was 8km for most of the time, and 10km in minor amounts of time until missiles were fixed in 2023.
Your post is proof of no Russian bias.
That’s not Motorola’s logic, that’s other users’ logic.
@I_MiikaL_I Why are people bringing up BUK?
That’s irrelevant to this topic.
All of the people claiming there is no Russian bias has never mained the Soviet Tech tree.
I had 2+ tech trees entirely completed before I completed Soviets, and the Soviets I was forced to due to the matchmaker.
LDIRCM didn’t add anything new, which is why I’m annoyed at posts citing it when DIRCM already defeated the new missiles [at least initially, I’d have to retest to see if they still do].
As for general DIRCM, I’d have to test helicopters manually, but Apaches were defeating all IR missiles in a previous test, but that test was in 2024. And testing is a ridiculously long thing to do.
And Soyuz being 90% of Bismark’s armor angled, and 70% of Bismark’s armor broadside is notable, but I wouldn’t say OP.
right, right, and with what ground/ground missile exactly ?
It could, but honestly it wouldn’t make that much of an improvement since there’s already the KH38 spam. F&F Hellfire would have changed the way some US Helis play though.
LDIRCM if we want to be pedantic. You know the invinsible force field that make IRIS-T (or any other IR missile) go to Narnia ?
Soyuz being as strong stronger than every other ship is what it is. I did not say it was russian bias, but the way it was added can make one raise an eyebrow indeed.
I know i shouldn’t ask, but how do you arrive to such conclusions ? X)
Both are currently 10km, and i’m fairly certain it wasn’t vikhr that got fixed since then. Could be wrong of course.
There was that annoying thing where the vikhr spam could also act as an APS though, rendering the hunt for KA50 a chore.
There’s no proof of Russian bias, Nobody here knows what Gaijin staff thinks 24/24, 7/7, thankfully i might add.
There is a factual difference in the way mechanics are added to which nation (how they interact, when they are added, and how widespread they are among nations when added), that much is undeniable
it adds a lot new, it protects against spikes and mavericks which were some of the common weapons used against helis and it is much more effective against the new missiles than normal DIRCM
they very much do not, the IRCM on current US helis is pretty much useless
1&2- I only memorize names when things interest me. Part of my tism and name amnesia.
I could look into it again, but re-finding the missiles isn’t something I want to do at this time.
I understand your desire to know and respect it.
3- DIRCM already does that.
4- Germany and Britain have laid-down ships currently, and Britain can get a laid-down ship that’s more armored than HMS Vanguard.
Laid-down ships aren’t even as “ridiculous” as allowing prototypes into War Thunder. Laid down ships are more akin to M1A1 Abrams [and obviously M10 Booker is a direct analogue] than they are to HSTVL.
5- Vikhir came to the game at 10km, it was quickly nerfed to 8km. It stayed 8km for a while, then “guaranteed launch range” was added, and Vikhir got its on-paper 10km range back… against static targets moving at least 150kph forward.
Then 2023’s SACLOS overhaul happened and Vikhir could go 10km against static targets when hovering again.
@Alpharius11348
LDIRCM does not protect against AGM-65D/Gs at last testing because they were removed from protection on the 2nd update of dev server and they were still removed on first update of live server. Can’t speak on Spike missiles.
Not hating on german or british naval ship-building of the time, but who’s to say i want to see these paper ships added ? Some fixes to Vanguard and Bismarck could already make them fit in the current meta decently (excluding the Soyuz)
I see a complete rolling vehicle on one picture and what i would refer to as a somewhat organized metallic structure (not functionnal in any way) on the other :
Ok, thanks for the reminder. Still, A vikhr hord could act as a mobile attacking APS, and all you had to do once depleted was land for 30s. Once SPAAs were depleted though, GG, game over
A screenshot timestamped 2025-06-18, live server at the time before the addition of LDIRCM. Granted, I didn’t get a Stinger screenshot, but it did perform the same when I tested Stingers in 2024.
Laid down ships are not paper ships, they’re production vehicles no different to M10 Booker.
If laid down ships are paper, then so are prototype tanks by virtue of being non-production vehicles unless a double-standard is added to excuse them from such categorization.
