given that RN R77 seekers feel more reliable than AMRAAM I am not very hopeful about them ever getting realistic stats

I believe that’s currently to compensate for their performance, though I’m not too sure about even that
From what I’ve heard, it’s something about the R77’s flight stats being busted due to not modelling drag correctly at different speeds? Therefore their waffle grid fins hamper performance at every speed, rather than improving it at high speeds as they should.
my understanding is that in linear flight grid fins do have increased drag over conventional planer fins of the same size, including at high airspeed, but the fins have a higher lift to drag ratio at high supersonic speeds.
this would mean that maneuvering at those speeds would have less of an increase on drag than a missile with planer fins, and that smaller adjustments to fin angle would be needed for a corresponding change in missile course.

I can avoid the pantsir in my F15E because its insanely fast but i wont be able to kill it if its paying attention to me. AGM65s are way to slow to kill the pantisr without being easily shot down

Try launching glide bombs around it in a large perimeter.

You could always climb outside its range and hit it from orbit.
While KH-38 slinger can kill any ground without even a single braincell being use.

even that doesnt work too well because at very high altitude f15e is a brick and an easy target, even more so if it is going slow enough to launch ordinance
Thats not the issue i was referring too. Its the issue that AGM65s are so slow the Pantsir can easily shoot them down

We have had so much discussion here disagreeing about certain imbalances and coming around to see the other point of view as well. By far the worst part about war thunder is that none of this matters. Gaijin only ever listens to player feedback when the players make a very big and loud fuss over it. So much for using their official forum over other internet outlets because they “listen on the forums”. Hilarious. Gaijin doesn’t give one crap about their player base unless it’s getting them to buy a new 80$ premium.

Why would you have to slow down? 8-9km height at a range of 4-6 kms outside the battlefield should be plenty to be out of range.

Define “easily” I’ve used the pansir to try and shoot down incoming weapons, it’s like a coin toss.

F-15E at least spawn within pantsir range and their weapons can be easily intercept by Pantsir
SU-34 and 30 always spawn outside SPAA range and can kill other people right after spawn and no SPAA have enough ability to intercept KH-38 (except Pantsir ofc)
if i can say which one need more skills to make the job done i can say F-15E in anyday at least they need to put more effort and higher risk to get it done (even if it not too hard but still more effort)
unlike KH-38 slinger it takes no risk at all to do well even newborn babies can get at least 3 kills before getting shot down with KH-38 slinger
but still fck all CAS for all i care.
