After playing the Buk-M3 for a bit, I do consider the IRIS-T SLM as the better one - However, the SAMP/T seems to be the true king, especially at short range, where the Buk just can’t to well. I don’t know whether its intended or not, but the Buk is currently not even able to intercept any munitions and the current search Radar is very limiting (out of all top tier SAMs, this one probly is the worst).

1- Non-meta.
2- NATO manpads are superior despite inaccuracies, this disproves your point.
3- Soviet ERA is not and has never over-performed. Kontakt 1 is the worst ERA in the game, and Relikt protects ~54mm of kinetic flat. These are not notable.

4- Soviet MBTs are supposed to have poor survivability. The fact they’re poor in War Thunder as well is just obvious.
5- Yeah, every tank prior to modern MBTs over perform. T-64 is not special alongside M60, Centurion, Vickers Mk1, etc.
6- 2S38 disproves Soviet bias, it came in like EBR and others though better off since Gaijin had the Begleitpanzer to have some indication of where 2S38 should be, and it was too low. Welcome to new vehicles with little to no things to compare them to.
7- Pantsir is bad, just objectively bad against IR AGM CAS. Hate my criticism all you want, it’s valid criticism. All I had to do for over a year was fly high and stay beyond 13km and Pantsirs just couldn’t touch me.
8- 4 years? Soviet CAS has only been as OP as NATO CAS for 1 year, 3 months:

9- “Russian” armor is entirely declassified. It’s performing as the schematics show. Relikt is not as good as you claim.
10- Kh-38MT, which once again, was only OP for 1 year and 3 months. 1 missile.
11- Su-25 and A-10 BR issues disprove Soviet bias.
12- Su-25BM came to the game to test R-73s… and it did. Not sure what’s controversial about that.

14- Because USA and Japan had to have AIM-7Fs which were the only long range BVR missile in the game at the time. The power creep R-27ER caused was less than what AIM-7Fs caused.

DM53 was designed to perforate through Kontakt 5 and T-72B UFP array. The designers of the round never mentioned Relikt because that ERA didn’t exist yet.
