for me its the type 90 spam, I live in NZ and play on SA (Asia) servers so that might explain the high about of it. But its just so annoying to fight against.

the 4 second reload is very fast compeareed to the Soviet 10.3 line up which is 6.5- 7.1 seconds
Japan being a minor nation has better players compared to Soviet players on average.
It also doesnt help that thew Soviets best is T-90A ast 11.0 so you dont even have a tank at the same BR.
Everything but T-90M which is the least decent from my experience which wasn’t good. Just stop and play 9.3 maximum, you’ll play some decent matches without a wave of agile MBTs come to you. By your 5th battle you could conclude that top tier USSR is worthless.
That’s what I did, I’ve grinded all USSR and now I only play specific BRs where I’m not going to be frustated either by team mates level 5 with a top notch vehicle or stupidly better vehicles than mine. 8.7 to 9.3 is the best spot if you want to experience good vehicles. If you want suggestion for other nations try Japan, by 6.3 to 12.0 got a good selection of vehicles specially 9.0 to 9.7, 11.3 to 12.0.
In summary:
It’s so frustating that, I’ve only spaded the majority of those vehicles on 8.7 and 9.3, yet I have some spaded in other BRs but the most I’ve played recently was or is in this BR placement, I suggest you, if you can afford, buy the T-80UD, finish the T-80BVM or anything else and go to any other tech tree that you never experienced before, I would suggest, along with Japan: Italy and France.
i do have the t80ud, i just want to get modifications on my T80B and T80U
my plan for russia is mainly just get the BVM and the pantsir and then continiue my USA, after that i was planning on playing china.
The T-72 doesn’t face Chief 3/5s and Olifant Mk.1s in a vacuum, it’s having to contend with APFSDS slinging Thermal optic race cars while having to carry awful vehicles like T-62s/62M1/64s while being nothing spectacular itself (and having to face itself in other tech trees (with better lineups)).
How can one be horrid and one be fine if they’re almost the same tanks with armor being the only difference ?
T-72B’s armor is more than enough to stop common shells at 10.3 as well.
It’s not the best but it’s perfectly playable.
3BM60 + good thermals with good armor are the selling points, in other fields T-90A is just mid at best. It could get the Bhishma treatment so it goes down to 10.7 with T-80B.
I don’t say this much but… skill issue, the tanks are fine the problem is the same every other tanks face… uptiers
One tank I can agree on is the T90M, the reverse speed is terrible but it does have excellent armor so it shouldn’t be moved down unless they nerf the armor but that will never happen
You are literally spouting some BS. I went from US to USSR 10.3 by wallet warrior’ing it and instantly up’ed my KD by 50%. It has its drawbacks for sure, but it is a wonderful 10.0 lineup.
I think t80b is one one tech tree vehicle from that BR and I do just the same as my other Premuim Vic’s I paid for.
Ones armor actually does something (if they dont shoot you in the weakspot), fits 10.3 better than the regular T72B

i dont understand why people praise thermals so much, its personal preference and shouldnt impact BR as much as it does.
if you need thermals to actually see enemies idk what to tell you except youre blind, only time i find thermals useful is SPAA so i can see drones at 9km+
