Russian 10.3+ sucks in everything but downtiers, theres no russian bias

i really dont get the “russian bias”, only thing that i find somewhat op are the SPAA, yet the tunguska missiles still poop their pants when the opposing aircraft moves 3 cm to the side
and no, im not a competitive player, i mainly play to have fun but these vehicles are making the supposed “russian bias” nowhere to be seen for me

this is the vehicle i say and why i think it sucks

T72B, its just horrid, kontakt 1 and 3bm42 do not deserve +1 br
its slow af, gets uptiered to face type 90’s, leo2’s, the tank isnt good at 10.3 at all, should go down to 9.7 or 10.0 as its literally a t64b but a little sturdier (it doesnt even matter because its got the same weakspots as every other 9.3+ soviet vehicle does)

T72B 1989 is fine, i guess.

T80B, nonononono, does not fit 10.7, worse than a leo2 in every way except armor, which again, still is horrid because you get uptiered 24/7, and insanely easy weakspots.
kontakt 1 is a modification, which still doesnt do jack, even against heat sometimes like what?

mobility is the only thing that has going for it. is NOT on par with the M1 Abrams and Leopard 2A4

T90, mid because its literally just a tiny bit better t72b, 3bm60 is making this thing be 11.0, its not that good, has 0 lineup, waste to use if you dont have the T-80UM2
There is a post about removng 3BM60 and lowering the t90’s br, 100% agree

T72B3, nothing spectacular, would say it actually fits for 11.7, stock grind sucks tremendeously especially on this because you get ufp’d and 1 tapped constantly, everything you pen you 99% of the time dont 1 tap

and now… T90M and T80BVM, reverse gear kills t90m, as all of the other T72’s or T90’s, T80BVM is good but leo2a7v is just 9 times better.

there really is no russian bias, just because you non penned a t80 in the heat of the moment and it killed you doesnt mean russia is op

My problem with top-tier USSR is not that it sucks or does bad (winrates for USSR are fine at top-tier). It’s that I find that USSR has much funner line-ups at lower-BRs, so I have no real motivation to use USSR top-tier. I mean it’s hard to keep up with the peak-fun that exists around 8.7-9.3, including:

from the WT data project the USSR winrate for matches with 10.3 is at 45%. This isn’t awful at all and still better than what plenty of other trees suffer across the entire game, like Britain only has 20% wins at 2.7 and sweden from reserve until 9.0 doesn’t see anything over 51%, is barely in the 40% range on average.

Every soviet tank is basically the exact same from 9.3 to top tier so everyone knows the weak spots. and targets you as the T64 family of tanks is really good, you are a priority target because of this

winrate’s shouldnt be taken into account for vehicles

there could be a busted op vehicle in a nation that just does terrible, then the people who use the busted vehicle, have fun constantly, yet people who play against it dont.

germany has some of the best vehicles yet winrates are low, why couldnt the opposite also be?

Winrates are quite often player skill issue, most apparent with Germany and top tier America.

I find it really annoying that things like PZH2000 and similar are as low as they are currently as I know its because players suck with HE slingers.

I only used this argument as the winrate for USSR is very balanced. however I’m surprised its below 50% because those tanks are facing chieftains, centurions and other pretty poorly performing early cold war tanks. Like there’s no way the Israeli Shot (and olifant as its the same tank) should be seeing T72 yet the matches are quite balanced. USSR skill issue is certainly a major issue here

for me its the type 90 spam, I live in NZ and play on SA (Asia) servers so that might explain the high about of it. But its just so annoying to fight against.

it is VERY fast compared to the Soviet 10.3 line up.
Its got thermals unlike the Soviet 10.3 line up
the 4 second reload is very fast compeareed to the Soviet 10.3 line up which is 6.5- 7.1 seconds
Japan being a minor nation has better players compared to Soviet players on average.

It also doesnt help that thew Soviets best is T-90A ast 11.0 so you dont even have a tank at the same BR.

Everything but T-90M which is the least decent from my experience which wasn’t good. Just stop and play 9.3 maximum, you’ll play some decent matches without a wave of agile MBTs come to you. By your 5th battle you could conclude that top tier USSR is worthless.

its literally only on russia that i hear about “play this br instead of the one you have to progress” which is pretty stupid

10.3 Soviet is very polarising. In down tiers it’s insanely strong, easily the best 10.3 lineup as most nations don’t have a strong lineup.

However, it suuuuuccckkks in uptiers, even vs 10.7 tanks the T-72B’s are rather lacking. Vs 11.3’s? Yeah you’re gonna have to pray.

It’s a compression issue tbh.

That’s what I did, I’ve grinded all USSR and now I only play specific BRs where I’m not going to be frustated either by team mates level 5 with a top notch vehicle or stupidly better vehicles than mine. 8.7 to 9.3 is the best spot if you want to experience good vehicles. If you want suggestion for other nations try Japan, by 6.3 to 12.0 got a good selection of vehicles specially 9.0 to 9.7, 11.3 to 12.0.

In summary:

It’s so frustating that, I’ve only spaded the majority of those vehicles on 8.7 and 9.3, yet I have some spaded in other BRs but the most I’ve played recently was or is in this BR placement, I suggest you, if you can afford, buy the T-80UD, finish the T-80BVM or anything else and go to any other tech tree that you never experienced before, I would suggest, along with Japan: Italy and France.

I cant even play 9.3 optimally because i would get little to no rp rewards because im researching a rank 8 vehicle, i js have to endure this stupidity

i do have the t80ud, i just want to get modifications on my T80B and T80U
my plan for russia is mainly just get the BVM and the pantsir and then continiue my USA, after that i was planning on playing china.

The T-72 doesn’t face Chief 3/5s and Olifant Mk.1s in a vacuum, it’s having to contend with APFSDS slinging Thermal optic race cars while having to carry awful vehicles like T-62s/62M1/64s while being nothing spectacular itself (and having to face itself in other tech trees (with better lineups)).

no it just faces the mk10 or a mk5 with a bigger engine (khalid).

I meant the mk2 more but it is realistic for the mk1 to see T72, either way its still an unfair compression caused problem

they all should be uptiered to hell WT favours them over actual tanks far too much.

Idk Soviet 9.3 is absolutely one of the strongest at the BR. and its one of the more advanced newer tanks of that BR range
