Who said anything about RB?
This creation of camouflages and trenches would be interesting on 10 x 10km maps and in a defense and attack game mode. In these very small maps, with almost everyone from CQC, and in which the two teams attack blindly, this change I see it only as a way to waste the work time of the devs instead of correcting the problems of the game. The only interesting thing would be to be able to put ammunition boxes, since there are many SPAA that have little ammunition capacity, like the Swedes ,who carry less ammunition for unknown reasons.
what kind of CAS and at what BR ? Makes quite a difference.
Saying screw CAS, is moronic. When RWR doesn’t even work in ground rb forcing a very toxic meta with standoff weaponry. "Screw cas "is definitely not a solution.
Roadmap to Hell
First Time ??
It doesn’t make sense. It’s not enlisted where infantry exist. Players want balanced updates, patches, and fixes. For example, bushes and trees should be server-rendered, not player-rendered, so everyone gets the same distance and quality. There are many areas where the developers should focus on quality updates. For instance, many vehicle models are poorly made, causing lags, issues, crashes, etc. The new BR change did more damage than it fixed. Yet, developers decided to add ammo boxes and camo nets that can be abused by graphical settings. These changes don’t help teammates repair tanks, don’t contribute to objectives, or any teamwork towards winning. Adding ammo boxes for players who don’t care only promotes more camping and useless gameplay.
Additionally, I would like to see statistics on how many bullets or shots players fire before they need to change vehicles. The introduction of ammo boxes seems beyond thinkable if players rarely run out of ammo before switching vehicles.
I’ve been playing this game since 2013, during the alpha phase. I don’t mean to be rude, but there are much more important things you guys could do than this unnecessary stuff. Which brings 0 teamwork regarding Winning.
Here are some critical issues and suggestions that need addressing:
Forum Code Issues: The forum code is terrible. People don’t see their notifications, and other weird stuff happens. The issue is known, but nothing has been done about it.
BR Balance: The balance of BR is terrible. A few years ago, a YouTuber (who I won’t name, but is your partner) suggested an idea: BR should be not ±1 but ±0.7. This would help DEVS to balance it easier.
Ship Concept: The ship concept needs to be reworked. There have been plenty of good ideas over the years, but there’s been zero progress. Now it’s slow and boring.
Squadrons: Squadrons are useless—99% of players join just to get squadron vehicles. You want tournaments and an esports community, yet in 10 years, there haven’t been any updates to the squadron battles system or the rewarding system.
Chat System: The in-game chat system is terrible and has never been fixed since the start. Sometimes you write to a player and see another name or yourself in the chat, or there are duplicate messages, etc.
Player Demands:
- Players want more mods in the game, like Battle Royale.
- More tech trees.
- More interesting events with good rewards (currently, the maximum you offer are decals). If we don’t talk about grind events ( Which is mostly always isn’t wort a time to grind).
Quality Updates: I could go on for a whole week, having played since the start, but there hasn’t been one good quality update that didn’t add more problems—maybe one, regarding the economy.
Also the RP bonus for having finished researching a tech tree… but hey, here is a bs brush tool to build useless sht on the map
There is one place for it that is not addressed and that one is the 1 cap game mode in which many times a stalemate happens resulting in players running out of ammo and not being able to replenish anywhere. We could just get a usable ammo box in spawn that can be used once or twice per spawn and done finito.
If you bring 15 rounds of ammo and still only manage to kill 5 tanks, and that’s not enough to win or the enemy doesn’t find you, it’s a skill issue.
Look, I use strike aircraft as well, but frankly there should be a better way for SPAA to counter aircraft. They’re blatantly OP
Go play Air Battles if you want to fly. A huge percentage of the player base has been asking for a TANK only mode for years. Ground Battles have become Air Battles #2 and people who want to actually play TANKS suffer. No, go play Air Battles if you don’t like getting shot down by SPAA’s. YOU are the intruder, not the SPAA’s. YOU are in the wrong game mode, NOT the tanks.
I think the proposed mechanics are too “arcady”, specially the amo box one. I would suggest somethng different to solve the problem of vehicles with low ammo count. Maybe a mechanic similiar to artillery where you click a place in the map and instead of a barrage an AI ammo truck drives up to it, then you can meet with it and re-stock. The trucks model would be dependant on the era of the vehicle. Given these vehicles are already madelled in air rb and we have had gamodes with ai vehicles in ground rb I think it would not be that hard to implement.
And regarding the cammo net it would be great to see a preview/image for what you are thinking, the description is not enough.
Thanks, hope my suggestion is considered.
if you lower “tree range” slider in video settings, many objects like concrete walls (!!!) on maps like Poland or dirt piles (Alaska) don’t render in 3rd person view at ridiculously short ranges of something like 180m. And for years Gaijin is feeding us excuses how they can’t possibly fix this. They literally have wallhack (well, partial wallhack) hard-coded directly into the game and insist that it has to stay as it is. And now they suddenly don’t have any problem with dynamic objects being randomly plonked onto the map by players at completely random locations, all those objects having proper hitboxes and rendering distances? I very much doubt that …
extremely bad idea. Light/medium/heavy tanks are forced to take limited ammo loads because just a single extra shell activates aditional ammo rack that turns whole vehicle into suicide booth ready to blow up if hit by anything more dangerous as a few droplets of rain … but we’ll give TD/SPAA/ATGM vehicles ability to magically conjure up ammo box at any time and any place, that will effectively double their available ammo totals? No ammo rack hitbox to worry about, no weight associated with the extra ammo …
and then there are the really dumb things … Raketenautomat will be able to replenish ammo because it is TD, but U-SH405 with the same weapon system (and half ammo capacity) won’t be able to because it is light tank, even though it is less mobile on most terrains. Type60C with 10 rounds total for 2 recoilless rifles will be able to replenish, but R3T106 with the same weapon system and same 10 round ammo load is out of luck and will have to make due with those 10 rounds only. ATGM vehicles that can use missiles well enough and fast enough from cover and are currently in large part balanced by their low ammo count (AFT09, M901, Wiesel 1A2, Pbv-302) will get massive buff in effectivity, but crappy ATGM carriers like Zachlam Tager or Type 60 will stay just as crappy because their problems don’t come from ammo load so they don’t deserve any help whatsoever according to Gaijin. Same with fast firing SPG/TD with limited ammo like Bkan1C or Ontos … already good vehicles will benefit a lot, but crappy vehicles like like FV4005 won’t see any improvement. Etc, etc …
This whole ammo replenishment is just bunch of several horrible and highly abusable ideas piled on top of each other … and we can be sure that Gaijin will approach the problem with their trademark “this requires a scalpel, so here’s chainsaw and sledgehammer and let’s see what happens” style. If they really want to improve situation for those few vehicles with limited ammo (or other limitations) they should do that through better rewards or cheaper spawn costs, not messing with core game mechanics across the board and creating ten new balancing problems for every one they manage to kinda sorta maybe mitigate by a tiny bit (more likely by accident than by design).
Why are you so scared of introducing FOB’s for either side? A defended area where you can resupply, repair and recrew would basically do all of the above, and reduce spawn camping whilst we’re at it.
The camo nets don’t sound good (how are they useful in any way?) and the entrenching brush just sounds odd. We already have tanks with the ability to entrench and it’s never used. I’m the only one I’ve ever seen deploy one and I was immediately destroyed through my T-72B turret after spending 5 minutes digging in my hull…
^this thx
- Do not add a camouflage net!!! You have already reduced visibility in the December 2023 arcade!!! Keep your hands away from anything that impairs visibility in the arcade battle!!! 2) Digging trenches is a terrible idea, there will only be rats in battles that will stand in one place all the time, the dynamics of the battle will drop. 3) Ammo crates are a good idea, but it’s not entirely clear how it works.
Why not just add a resupply zone in our spawns, thats the easiest way to solve the problem of AA having nowhere to rearm if all points are contested. Not just Spaa but even maybe MBTs who had all their ammo explode. Kinda of a dumb way to go about this when theres a simpler decision.
I think using up all your Ammo on Your SPAA, that has no Anti tank armament and then having to either j out or drive thru to a capture point that might not even be captured, is the issue, not a lack of ammo .
If you need more ammo then devs added by default it means you did something wrong or just a skill issue. I aced all tech trees. Yet I dont see any problems with any tanks regarding ammo capacity.
