Ok, and this isn’t 2015/2016 anymore. So if Gaijin were to reintroduce this thought they could since they have the tools at their disposal now and can make a more refined version of the idea without causing significant amounts of lag. A prime example is Advance Into The Rhine lack on that map doesn’t happen as much compared to when it did far back then where a single bomb could almost crash your game, it isn’t just your frames.
I know. Would be nice though.
Advance to Rhine is weird it’s a dence City map (which I usually hate) but I still like it most of the time no Matter br
It’s one of the few maps we all love, it’s iconic but it does feel like a war zone. Some other maps just don’t have this feeling since it’s poorly put together and never actually play-tested.
Ex: Flanders. You put a small wreck of buildings in an area on the map that no one is ever gonna go to cause you can’t. It serves absolutely no purpose. This only really shows that Flanders is one of those maps that should be a 4 or 5-cap-point Big Team Battle type of gamemode.
Besides that nice that the blimp changes but it isn’t much of an era alternating map as that’s pretty much the only thing that changes with the rest being very minor. Cause if there’s a trench going from back then to the modern era shouldn’t it be getting filled up, while other areas are being cleared out? So what you see is a lot of clearing in areas which dynamically changes how the trenches work. With some parts being entirely blocked off. Would make Flanders as a map far more dynamically changing then just replacing Blimp with C-5 Galaxy and making a 15-page essay/article.
Well, its interesting, but i would rather get support vehicles mechanics for light vehicles, APCs and IFVs.
I mean, literal support mechanics. When they can replenish dead crewmates of their teammates. When they can replenish ammo and so on. Mobile finite replenish-source in an APC/IFV.
That can allow for introduction of more vehicle types, that will be less harmful for armoured targets but maybe will carry more for their teammates… You know, teamwork, instead of: “I will sit here and build ammo box for myself”, but whatever…
My proposal on that have already passed on russian forum, but, seems like, no one cared. :P
Oh, and also same mechanic for helicopters with cargo/crew bays, lmao. Very unreliable and no one will use it, but imagine a helicopter replenishes dead crew members of a tank nearby, lol.
Big no to the camp nets. The camp nets on the tanks and especially bushes are already painful enough when you have lackluster graphics on things like laptops. Unless everybody gets them, don’t know how I feel about only some tanks getting these advantages…
APCs and CEVs getting a resupply mechanic would definitely be a better alternative to the ammo boxes, but that would require teamplay, something that really doesn’t happen in WT.
However, a lot of the vehicles that are suffering to low ammo count could just get an optional ammo trailer.
Has The Churchill crocodile 😂
Imagine a separate vehicle that can be controlled like a drone spawns with you.
Like first you ride to a point and then you control your “drone” truck with ammo and move it somewhere you want.
And like everyone can use it to resupply. Idk, that was passed too, but devs want building of ammo boxes…
I love my Crocodile
I find the building mechanics with ammo boxes to be very boring and weird looking. I suggest it’s better to make a mechanic similar to an artillery strike, only calling an aircraft that will fly over the map and drop a box of ammunition by parachute to a specified point, this way an interesting event will be added for air defense and the mechanics themselves will be very interesting!
Sounds good unless people park it across an important street
well, maybe it never happen exactly because devs never make it happer, never make mechanics for that and so on.
I love enlisted more cuz there i can cover a tank and tank can help me capture point. Its like that meme:
Teamwork is always better than just a multiplayer game that feels like single player with npcs around.
While a supply drop would definitely be more fitting, I believe the point of having them be constructed is so they aren’t ‘request and forget’.
Tho if they made it so you actually have to fly the transport plane or heli yourself and manually drop the supplies that would be very cool.
I’m in all for the first two mechanics, being able to build ammunition boxes and camo nets are useful features.
However, “trenches and mounds” seem extremely situational for the current ground fast phased meta (not to mention the abysmally small maps where this will never work), I feel like it will be DOA just like self entrenching shovels, as standing still for any period of time will guarantee you will get taken out, either be waiting for the entrenching process to happen or by CAS.
I’d much rather see another mechanic added instead, like squad rally points, allowing squad leaders to build rally spawn points in strategic places. Or better yet, bigger and better maps.
IFV/APC support mechanics is better, imo. With a possibility for more harmless but with big cargo capacity/speed vehicles.
This too, I feel like IFVs and APCs should be able to resupply teammates with crew or ammo
Gaijin really needs to reward team play more
But sadly that would also cause people to abuse the system Imagine if you could get 500sl for repairing a friendly
People could just side scape in a Maus or something else. Then get the track’s destroyed get repaired and repeat
Well, we have winches and they actually went out of their way to let everyone help with repairing (if they have the mod unlocked, that is) instead of just letting light tanks and CEVs do that job.
Yet I still get moments where nobody around me bothers to help with repairing or fire fighting (for some reason this also happens a lot more when I am using stock vehicles) and well, I can’t remember anyone ever helping me when I was stuck somewhere
I don’t see people until it’s to late(fire)or I don’t have parts or fpe unlocked
