Bluewater is.fine. coastal needs a boost.

The problem is that most coastal games are just filled with Gaijin bots that reward little. So either flat increase to coastal rewards or increase the reward for killing Gaijin bots is needed

Or the other idea I’ve seen is to add the ability to transfer RP from BW to coastal like you can from ground to helis

You can change everything and it wont help, there is simply not enaugh players that give a single F about some ships.
You ask random person on the street about their favorite fighter/tank they probably will give you answer, ask about ship and what? Titanic?
Slow gameplay with a outdated boat that barley moves is not invating at all

I dont think so … Many players do not like post war tanks.
They like cause they are beautiful, but most are the WW2.
About navy, it the same.
But yes, as no one talk about navy, they are forgotten.

Naval in overall, when you know how to use them, its very cool and interesting to play.
The only problem are … Maps.

Absolutely not an accurate statement. People that have an interest in military weapons usually carry great pride about current weapon systems employed by their nation.

Nah, the modern MBTs are quite the site to behold. Such amazing designs with cutting edge technology and complexity that just screams power. WW2 vehicles are also quite amazing as well.

Naval forces have many different types of enthusiasts. Warthunder has virtually no ships past WW2, and the top tier ships are share an uninteresting and slow playstyle. Destroyers, Frigates, and Costal vessels have much more exciting gameplay than Cruisers and Battleships, where everyone basically goes broadside, stops, and tries to barrage enemy ships from spawn to spawn.

Maps are a problem, but by no means the only problem. The costal battle ratings being mixed with early bluewater ships destroys most of the top rank costal gameplay because most of them dont stand a chance against destroyer HE fire. The automatic gunners of bluewater ships destroy any chance of using stealth or ambushing a a ship with a costal boat or plane. Games at 5.3 and above get filled with cruisers and battleships that just sit in spawn and do nothing at all to capture even the bluewater points. Ships at similar battle ratings (mostly destroyers) have wildy different capabilities, like the 5.3 Russian Project 56 destroyers being absolutely outgunned by the 4.7 US Gearing class destroyers. The German, and Japanese destoyers don’t even get SAP shells which make them almost useless against the ships that do carry SAP. The entire br system for naval is rediculously compressed, where in a full uptier you face ships that absolutely outclass you by weight, armament, range, and armor, and that usually results in you not being able to damage them at all. Shells aren’t modeled correctly for all but like 12 ships, so taking less ammo means nothing because until your last rounds are loaded you have a fully modeled FULL ammo rack ready to be detonated. There are way more issues with naval, especially above 5.0, than you seem to want to admit.

i agree that they are issue too. Automatiques AA are boring too.
Giving orders will just balance
And lock should be yes or no for both at same time.

Eh, Automatic AA can stay. It’s nice having a gamemode where CAS pilots actually have to use their brains to attack!

It’s nice having a gamemode where ships can get free kills for absolutely no effort on players that they are gleefully unaware of. There, I fixed your statement for you to be more accurate.

This happens to costal boats too. Nothing like getting killed by a destroyer from 3km in a boat because the AA weaponry will auto enage you and always kill you because of the volume of fire, spread, and lack of cover in the maps.

If you decide to engage a destroyer without using any kind of cover whatsoever in a coastal boat, you’re kind of asking for it, chief.

Otherwise, CAS players can mald. If you want to be unstoppable in an airplane, go play ground RB :P

You mean hiding behind cover that destroyer AA guns can usually fire over because they are lower caliber guns firing at 3+km at you and won’t break lock because the spotting system is broken? Yea that’ll work. Even if you get within 1km with cover you wont have a chance to calculate a torpedo run and fire an effective spread because you’ll get instantly dusted asnsoon as you come out of cover.

So… Simply don’t fly out in naval if you’re facing those? The game doesn’t require you to bring aircraft, and they are useful at certain BRs. However, single-aircraft attacks on ships generally aren’t advised (similar to how SPAA in grb usually don’t have 10x units opening up on aircraft like IRL) so it’s something you’ll have to live with if you decide to fly out against heavily AA-armed opponents, I suppose.

I was talking about costals since you said just use cover. Automatic engagement of any target with no player intervention is a garbage mechanic. Disagree? They did it with bombers and made the gunners usless because it was unfair for other players. Nothing like watching a destoyers main armament engage a different ship the entire time they approach your position and then watching AA armaments fire straight at you and there is no amount of manuvering you can do to escape.

Crazily enough, the point of Naval is naval combat. If we’re talking coastal, that sort of thing specifically tends to be pretty hectic, so having to skywatch while there’s a PG-02, Flak Barge, and SKR burning closer seems like it’d make for pretty garbage gameplay

I’m honestly glad, if you want epic air-to-sea battles play customs or single-player missions lol. CAS is an affront to fun gameplay in War Thunder…
