Report on Critical Energy Loss in Delta-Wing Aircraft (Excluding MiG-21 Series) in War Thunder

No problem at all ^^

Reports about flight models are however going to be VERY hard to make in a way where they are accepted, i recommend reading through the forum and searching for others discussing the same topic to get an idea of any reports already made and information already found :)

Last time smin1080 (or stona? one of the official team) confirmed stated that dev messed up tornado but they aren’t coding good enough to fix it, though at the same time we have mig23 and f111 being easily nerfed…

idk xD

But how are those flankes so damn fast with extreme maunoverbility at low speed?

flankers are boats ?

They are aircraft. I think flankers are the callsign of the Su-27 family… Flanker C for the Su-30 if i remeber correctly and also the Flanker B su-27…

Yeah no what I mean is flankers turn like a boat lmao sorry for the confusion

Physics, my dude. Turns out a fighter jet with humongous elevators has its benefits.

it shouldnt be as fast as it is in game tho

It’s not even that fast compared to its contemporaries lol. It sits around the middle of the pack. Also you’re free to look at the HUD footage of Su-27s as well as the declassified SK manual

Mirage 2000 energy retention is actually too high at high speed and not enough at low speed. It’s sustained turn is accurate.

Faster than it is IRL.
Also, it’s faster than F-15, what is quite funny

the only mig-21 that has good energy retention is the j-7e because it has a completely different wing design compared to other mig 21s. also, wym mig-21s don’t lose speed as fast as other deltas, they definitely do. Only thing mig-21 (mostly talking about the bis variants) got going for it is its ridiculous engine and low speed maneuverability with flaps out, which is to be expected

Actually, the mig 21 does have ridiculous energy retention at super low speed with the flaps out. Is it supposed to be this good at low speed?

Blown flaps.

im talking about mirage 3’s, drakens and viggens… not mirage 2000’s…

The Draken and Viggen have been nerfed into the ground over the past few years and the engine on the Mirage III was so anemic that they had to strap a rocket booster onto it for interception duties irl.

The Viggen was nerfed based on its flight manuals stated turn rates.

Cool. What does that have to do with my statement? You’re worse than a F-4E now outside of super low speeds by a pretty big margin so I’d call that nerfed into the ground

Because it’s more realistic? And having realistic flight performance in simulator battles is a good thing?

The green line represents the number from the manual by the way. Technically the plane could be nerfed even further.

Cool. Once again, what does that have to do with my statement? Like you’re punching the air dude. I never said if I was for or against it, I said things how they are.
