To the Gaijin Entertainment Team,
Following the introduction of the latest updates, I’ve observed a critical issue regarding the energy retention rate of delta-wing aircraft (such as the Mirage’s Draken’s, Viggens…) This problem severely impacts the maneuverability and effectiveness in dogfights for these aircraft.
Detailed Description of the Problem:
Excessive Energy Loss in Tight Turns: Previously, delta-wing aircraft were able to maintain their energy to a certain extent during turns, especially at higher speeds. Currently, however, I am experiencing a drastic loss of speed and energy even when executing moderate turns. This makes continuous maneuvering impossible, as the aircraft slows down too rapidly and becomes extremely vulnerable to the enemy.
Long Recovery Time: After an energy loss, these aircraft regain speed very slowly, even with maximum thrust (including afterburner). This means that after a single misjudged or more forceful maneuver, they are virtually out of the fight, as they are unable to return to an optimal energy state.
Consequence for Dogfighting: Due to the mentioned energy loss, delta-wing aircraft are practically incapable of engaging in effective dogfights against other aircraft types of similar Battle Rating (BR). Enemy aircraft can easily get on their tails, and since the delta-wing planes cannot maintain their speed or change direction quickly, they become easy targets. This has significantly degraded the flight experience, and the performance of these aircraft falls far short of what should be expected.
Imbalance Compared to the MiG-21 Series: It is particularly concerning that the MiG-21 series of aircraft, which are also delta-wing designs, do not exhibit this severe energy loss problem. MiG-21s are capable of maneuvering effectively and maintaining their energy during dogfights, which suggests that the problem is not with the delta-wing design itself, but specifically with the flight models of the aircraft I mentioned. This provides a significant and imbalanced advantage to the MiG-21s in combat and puts other delta-wing types at a severe disadvantage.
Suggestions:
Please review the flight model of the delta-wing aircraft, with particular attention to their energy retention capabilities and the rate of energy loss during maneuvers. It is crucial that these aircraft regain their ability to effectively participate in aerial combat without immediately becoming energy-depleted after a single turn, similar to the performance of the MiG-21 series.
I understand that maintaining game balance is a complex task, but in their current state, delta-wing aircraft have become almost unusable in dogfights, which significantly detracts from the game experience.
