Remove the ticket bleeding mechanic in ARB

It is so often the case that in the middle of a match both sides suddenly start to lose tickets quickly. I really find this mechanic so annoying. It should be adjusted or simply removed. You got 8 fighters in your team, while opponents have one single wyvern. but all of a sudden ticket just drop to zero as if it was committing suicide. This needs to be stopped.
Just went through a private discussion about it. My guess is, this rapid ticket loss mechanic has something to do with the accuracy or damage of ai ground units(when they shoot opposing ground units). And yet, the way to trigger it is still under discussion.

Just kill the enemy ground attackers…

Ticket bleed is a dumb mechanic. I’ve lost many matches because it ended too early despite my team having a massive numerical advantage over the other team.

no it’s not ground attacker problem. the ticket bleeding goes the same for both sides. it can happen even if the ground attacker of both sides are all shot down.

That’s ground targets being destroyed by aircraft.
Tickets don’t drop unless entities are destroyed.

ticket bleed is the only way to counter airfield campers at prop BRs

It is correct in general.
But there are maps tank rows destroy each other so the ticket bleed only slow down by eliminate the AI planes.
And then there are maps AI planes go kamikaze on their first ground attack and crash. Maybe it’s fixed with the change from Yak38 to Mig15. We will see. In the past it was always the A4B side crashes.

I am still a fan of positive tickets so you gain tickets, only players able to, and the side with most tickets wins after time runs out.

no it’s not. killing ground targets to kill tickets is. pretty sure you didn’t read my words. the thing is, at some point of the match, when no one in the lobby is engaging opponent player (I believe that there should be some distance between players of the two teams as well), suddenly both sides start to lose tickets at the same speed, 100 tickets at a time, and this ticket bleeding occurs at an interval of around 20 to 30 seconds.

I can assure you that this is not true. I was playing Tier 1 and Tier 2 Italian fighters last week, where this rapid ticket bleeding happened as well. check it yourself, please.
In addition. Ground attackers wouldn’t cause both sides to bleed tickets at exact same speed

I always thought the way Gaijin did that was so weird and counter intuitive.

Um… that’s exactly what would happen. Equal attackers per side…

the problem is not “ground targets killed, tickets lost”, ffs! of course not! why would someone complain about this? if anything is to be complained about it, it should be player-controlled strike aircraft being able to kill all tickets in less than 4 minutes in some maps.
what I talk about is the rapid ticket bleeding not caused by players or ai ground attackers. I didn’t notice it as first, until I watched DEFYN’s video, and he pointed it out. If you are not convinced, check it yourself in prop BR battles.

@Renamed83048
good to know you look down on everyone that states basic facts.
It’s obvious why you were renamed now.

AI attackers spawn in equal numbers on both sides near the beginning of the match; this has been the case for War Thunder since before 2018.
Since they’re aircraft they’re subject to awareness and keen vision:

Spoiler

Near the beginning of the match. I wonder if you have noticed the fact that when you shoot down an enemy ground attacker, it is shot down? is it too difficult to understand? you kill someone, and he is dead. and in a match where your opponent fled and camped at AF, your team will, of course shoot these ground attackers. thus, enemy ground attackers are shot down. and yet both sides suddenly start to bleed tickets at the exact same speed.
maybe we are not talking about the same game. I guess in your war thunder, after your team killed 10 ground attackers, both sides will still have the same number of ground attackers. probably in a world where you kill someone and he can just walk away and buy a hot dog.

@Renamed83048
Both sides are allowed to shoot down AI, and each individual AI has their own pattern.
If you don’t shoot down the twin when the opposing twins attack the tickets drop equally at identical times.

are you suggesting that I have to kill not only enemy ground attackers but allied ground attackers as well to stop the ticket bleeding of my team? if an allied ground attacker killed an enemy ground target, both sides lose 100 tickets?

Well, here’s what I think is actually going on.
This rapid ticket bleeding is not about ground attackers at all. the ticket loss caused by ground attackers can be easily observed. And different numbers of ground attackers on both sides (different numbers because players shot some of them down) will, of course, lead to different ticket-bleeding speed.
So why would both sides lose tickets at the same time and same speed? It has to be something about ai ground units. Probably a mechanic dated back to 8 or 10 years ago. And this mechanic leads to both sides’ ground units “killing each other” at exact same speed (no matter how many ground units are still alive). every 30 or 60 seconds, the system automatically kills a ground unit. I’m not sure how this works or is triggered, probably related to certain maps, or maybe when no player is attacking ground units.

The thing is Gaijin changed arb from 1h to 25min, and ground shrink this time even more.
The change is used to limit chest grind of old events, so a player won’t get 6 chests a game by space climbing;
but now we don’t have such events, and arb do need a longer time to pace slower, for more energy fights instead of low-air brain dead furball…
Time limit and Tickets, both need more change.

Completely agree. Lost this legendary match because of automatic ticket bleed. It is stupid.

Just had this match

killed the last guy and as their tickets were going down my team got hit by ticketbleed for no reason and we lost by like 0.5s
