Idk even with R-73s the bad FM really holds it back. Considering you need to get behind an enemy for the IRCCM to be effective I don’t want to lose the ER

Mig-21Bison is supposed to be standard caliber.
Mirage 2000 has the same equivalent loadout as Mig-21Bison and is 12.7 because of flight performance.
All loadouts are equally historically accurate as dictated by manuals.

that is a r-73 on the inner pylon
mirage 2k gets imo superior radar missiles, worse radar and better fm.
if i recall correctly the indians put their own cm dispensers and rwr and not the russian ones, thats why it’s 60 large calibre instead of the 120 normal on the 21 93

Also if you want historical accuracy we need to get the FM fixed first. While R-27ER was not used when these planes entered service nothing is stopping them from using it. The HUD would not recognize them and the LA calculations would be wrong but they could be used.
Germany and Hungary never aquired the ER
Is the fm really underperforming by that much? From what I understand, it’s overperforming at higher speeds (so does basically every single damn plane in the game it feels like), missing lift and aoa at lower speeds (not being able to do that one junky mini cobra thing), it’s sustained is pretty much accurate/overperforming. Basically the oonly thing that’s bad (and the main thing really) is that its bleed rates pulling outside of that sustianed are godawful
Okay remove them from Germany and Hungary
I am no expert but from what I have seen it’s underperforming a lot.

and from russia as well becasue they had an extra Mig-29 variant that integrated the ER
the Mig-29 9.13S, which isnt ingame
the 913s also integrated the r-77 which is a much bigger upgrade, altho it would be nice to add the 913 as the variant with er and 73s and the 915 as the one with 77s
Okay so 9.13 stays at 12.7 but swaps R-27ER for R-73. 9.13S gets everything but goes to 13.0. Su-27S goes to 13.3 regardless (imo)

that would be ideal, altho imo mig 29 needs to be restricted to 4x 73s for 12.7
