I personally think it’s for balance, 4x73s would be at 12.7 and the plane would be utter dogwater
normally they would say that in the bug report if they intend to not add it
the ammount of missiles is not as important for the BR than the missiles it gets look at the Mig-29G and Su-27 in rb both being at the same BR even tho the Flanker carries way more of those missiles

I think instead of of putting the mig-29 down to 12.7 with 4x or 6x 73s, they can add mig-21 93 which has double the cms of bison (though normal calibre), pesa radar, with r73s at 12.7
better to have trade off, good missiles for bad fm
flanker being better at almost everything and being at the same br
thats already where the Migs are at iam asking for the ER to be removed from the 29 in exchange for the r-73 to make the mig more unique in its role compared to the falnker ingame
and the trade off for the mig29 has is a bad rwr, bad radar and 60 normal calibre CMs
and that is ignoring its fm

eh, removing the r-27er is dumb imo, it’s the only useful weapon, and even if it gets r73s, the 27er is still going to be its main killing power, not the 73s
so it shouldnt be any problem
i mean at 13.0, sure. but you got the 29g already at that br with that loadout. I dont see them removing 27r and moving a plane with 6x 73s to 12.7
it has worse missiles than the 29G so it is going to be at a lower br simple as that
you seem to forget that the ER is still the best SARH missile in the game

that’s not a end all be all, look at something like the fa18c and f-18c, one is vastly worse than the other yet they’re the same br. I don’t think there’s any possibility of a 12.7 mig 29 with 6x 73s
werent you the one talking about trade offs
the finnish F-18C has better flight performance instead of a HMD and they still carry the exact same A2A missile load
what about limiting it to 4x R73s
tbh most people will probably be only running 4 R73s + 2 R27R/Ts
f-18c might be the best f-18 in a dogfight but having a hmd is so much more important, plus the fa18c gets like a million cms.
4 r73s i could see that at 12.7 ngl, but they would definitely have to remove the er. but also that’s a dumb artificial limit, I don’t see them doing that.

6x r73s, only r27rs/ts → still at 13.0, so might as well keep 27er and add the 27et as well
4x73s and 2x r27rs/ts → possible at 12.7, but its a dumb artificial restriction on the 73s for only br reasoning, not realistic imo

its an artifical nerf yeah but the 12.7 and 13.0 migs shouldnt even be able to use the R-27ERs in the first place

Doesn’t the mig-29 also have 60 ish CMs?
it has 60 CMs as well but they are normal calibre instead of large calibre that the Bison gets
