Fun fact, I got a new Xbox and Gaijin cannot figure out how to link stuff, so now new account. I am more than happy to provide you with my main account. That one has thousands of battles.
Although, I think proper SPAAs would work. Proper SPAAs from Sim, the Za and SIDAM used on Sinai, the Rolands in Denmark, etc., oh and let’s make sure it keeps its aimbot as well. Now that would make Air Battles better.
I’m not terribly interested in that much effort to run your card so I’ll take it at face value for the meantime.
As for SPAA, I believe its potency needs to be dialed back up. Not as much as it was before, but the AI should absolutely be able to clap you again if you’re too close to it for too long and careless.
Hell, if you ever played Heli EC then you know how potent AI can be.
And that’s in comparison to how much of the playerbase at large? Hell, the total population of forum-goers pale in comparison to the rest of the WT playerbase at large. The overwhelming majority of players never even visit the forum for 10 minutes. Those who come to the forum are of a few kinds; Perpetual whiners, those invested in legitimately improving the game or interested in conversations about the game with certified players.
In ASB, proper SEAD gameplay would be a lot of fun, and I actually miss the bases having SPAAGs protecting them, made them a bit of a challenge. But Gaijin really needs to overhaul how they do AI SPAAs because they are either useless or completely OP and not inbetween.
Now how well AI SPAA would work in ARB?
I think the maps are just too small and the matches too short, for any meaningful SEAD gameplay to be worthwhile to add and making the A2G gameplay even harder for many strike aircraft, which already have a rough time, just doesnt sound like fun.
Bad weather bad enough to actually prevent CAS, just never happens normally in-game, and the few times where I have seen weather bad enough to stop CAS, like low leve fog, air spawn or ground spawn doesnt really change much in that regard. The “bad weather” i’ve seen has been some slight overcast at 10k ft. That isnt bad weather, thats good weather, and I doubt it would have stopped any pilot at any time in history from doing their jobs.
So they could start by actually adding real “bad weather”, though it shouldnt be every match, just once in a while.
As for bad weather preventing air spawn just sounds a bit dumb to me. If anything, bad weather would prevent AF Spawn and force Air spawn (I.e, the aircraft flying in from somewhere else after taking off from a runway with good weather)
But the rest of the CAS stuff im not going to comment on.
Beyond the last part, I’m glad we can agree about the AI being bumped up again. I feel like that the AI is specifically good against me sometimes, because I will get strafed on the airfield, meanwhile I’ll get pilot sniped 30km from their airfield (exaggeration of course).
Also, we have certified players on here that will talk? I do agree on the first few (whiners, complainers, and people wanting change), just surprised that we have competitive people on here. If I’m going to be honest, I only see the same six people on here.
A dive bombing assault starts from 1.5-2 kilometres, occasionally 1 kilometer if visibility is bad and occurs within…
Time 00:00 Begin roll-over to inverted
Time 00:02 Be flying at 60 degree angle
Time 00:05 Release payload
Time 00:08 Target destroyed due to bomb delay being set too high
Time 00:10 You’re some 2 kilometers away from the drop zone flying with 478 km/h at 100 meters
(from my own sim event CAS clip)
When in this 7 second timespan do you intend to dodge?
I have low graphics settings limiting my ability to spot tanks.
I don’t have a rudder pedal and use relative axis buttons to control my rudder which is bad for very precise adjustments needed, hence why I released it so low as I couldn’t steady myself.
We’re playing on a giant map that encompasses 2 GRB maps and more.
I’ve only really trained myself to do dive-bombing in Corsairs/Hellcats (for sim boat events), Yaks (Il2:GB) and Fw190/Bf109 (Il2:GB). Aircraft groupings represent gunsights.
I havn’t flown the Mustang in forever and I can barely keep her steady
There’s no markers or third person view so I dropped it using the tracers as my targetting guide
I was flying low because of aforementioned lack of third person or hit/scout markers.
Add ±1-2 seconds for when I initiate the attack or release the bomb.
Yeah, AF AA is overpowered at lower BRs, and basically useless at higher BRs and top tier. Needs adjustments across the board to be effective but not overpowered or useless, and the same goes for the AI AA across the map. Some of many things Gaijin drags their heels on.
As for the forum-goers - Depends on the time of day and what part of the forum you’re going through. Not everybody posts everywhere, after all.
Yeah, the worst weather I think i’ve ever seen was a light drizzle.
So much variation could be added if they just used the time of day and weather settings already in game. Let alone add some new ones
Like imagine playing in this weather:
Let alone if they started modeling some of the affects that the weather has (imagine if every map had directional wind, that would speed you up/slow you down depending on direction of travel)
Oh I agree. They also need to get rid of thunderstorms in Sinai. Like yeah, the desert that gets news just for having a singular cloud in the sky gets thunderstorms. It’s so ridiculous.
I would love blizzards though, I already enjoy the aesthetics of it snowing in winter maps, blizzards would make it more fun.
