It’d make no sense if it counted you as “non active” while still in the air. If you land with severe damage (or stay landed for a certain period of time) you’re counted non active.
for GRB, there’s also 0 reason for autoeject to exist.

If you mean landing at airfield with severe damage, then I agree with you. It shouldn’t count you as inactive and it seems you’re talking about a similar issue Wick raised (Has the "inactivity" timer in Air RB after landing for repairs on airfields changed?). The issue seems to also extend to landing without damage and changing your loadout based on some other posts I saw (No longer possible to change loadout after landing)
Outside obvious bugs with crash landings on own airfields and this imho still stupid written off mechanic in case game ends by timer or tickets there is no reason to keep a non-functional plane as “active”.
I am annoyed too if i glide with a dead engine back to my af and the tickets or the rest of my team vanished before i could hit the runway.
Crash landing outside af = out of the fight
Crash landing & broken engine outside af = out of the fight
I mean they changed this “dead by landing outside af” function years ago.
On top of the previously mentioned ticket bleed - staying alive would circumvent the “red square” function if you play in a 1 vs 2 as last players alive.
So if somebody tries to hide by landing and would not be forced to jump out, he would give his fully functional team mate this “red square” advantage in the subsequent 1 vs 1.
The only guys affected by this were crash landed bombers with working turrets which could continue playing as stationary aaa (and even score air and depending on location ground ai kills) or tryhards which wanted to avoid getting a plane loss in their vehicle stats.
I mean landing anywhere that isn’t your airfield. You can still repair on airfield (unless you’re on fire).
that’s Warthunder’s garbage ticket system, not autoeject.
if you crash land you’re still counted as non active. just try landing an attack drone in GRB.
