And it makes them much easier to kill in a tank. Wait, no.
Oh yeah, forgot to mention, tanks aren’t designed to take down planes.
SPAAs are, yet they struggle a lot, if not completly useless.
Have you ever landed a direct 40mm shot on any aircraft? Or 37mm, or even numerous 20mm shots on a plane? Because they absolutely rip if you hit your shots. If your saying you can’t learn SPAA leads, that’s a skill issue bud.
Funny how lesding on a bomber and SPAA is not as essy in WT as flying a plane
Leading bombs is extremely easy, it just takes skill and practice. Also, not to mention, I stated, add cockpit only view and full controls to ease with this, although anyone with remotely any skill with a aircraft control stick, even the cheapest of the cheap (I actually own one of these) the Logitech 3D extreme, and still then, it’s more difficult to proceed with an attack run than before, although this still isn’t the solution. Also the equivalent of flying a plane in this game with “point aim” flying requires the skill of a 6 and 1/2 year old, but it requires skill and precision to use it properly.
No. The issue is, that for example, a bomber will fly outside the HE self destruction range. For one.
Even a mildly skilled CAS player can take a quick rocket shot on an SPAA from a km in a fraction of a second, destroying the SPAA, while giving it no time to react, or shoot down the plane.
I have done it a few times, and i am a terrible pilot.
More planes up can overwhelm enemy SPAA.
SPAA has limited ammo, that they can only resupply on a friendly cap point (that many time is not reachable, or there are just no caps, or there are, but encircled by enemy.), while you have to (almost) completly stand still for a long time, while any arty shell will kill you.
And if you have an SPAA with a single magazine, that takes more time to resupply, than the time that would take the Universe to reach it’s heat death, if a teammate bumps into you, it will reset.
Meanwhile a plane can safely resupply in ~30s on an airfield to it’s undamaged state, while SPAA can only heal a single crew member, if it has the crew repelnishment unlocked. Replenishing crew takes time, while you are literally immobile.
SPAA will die to a single hit, or even from a miss, from a rocket, yet planes many times survive 155mm proxy HE exploding right next to them. The plane does not immediately fall apart, and the pilot does not take overpressure damage.
Tanks, on the other hand do. Said calibre HE shells landing a few meter from an open top (or paper armored) tank will just die, even the crew memebers, that are protected by armor, because emotional damage, i assume.
Tanks can’t get 5+ kills in a few seconds, or even in an instant (arty strike excluded). Even the Sturmtiger blind shooting at the enemy cap at the start of the game rarely gets more than 2 kills, if any.
CAS on the other hand, does it regularly.
Tanks alone can very rarely take out an entire squad on a cap point, CAS can do it easily.
This is just a few, that came into my mind at this late night.
This is something too in depth I can’t get into tonight, I will have to work this out tommorow, but in short, the things you can do in the air are different from the ground because of the space around you. ((Air Superiority) because you can see the whole battlefield hence why the next world war is going to be in the air, everything else is obsolete)
I agree. But this is a game, and gameplay, and balance is more important than realism. Even in a “simulator” game.
Just one simple example:
Did you ever play with the french H-39? You know, the “tank”, that is utterly useless against interwar tanks.
If WT were historical, it would fight T-54s/55s, Centurions, etc…
Another great example:
In a WWII scenarion, the USSR would have a nice 90% win rate.
Wehraboos already complain about “germany suffering”, now imagine that…
I was talking about leading while using a bombers turret znd leading with SPAA, about cockpit lit view not for me ta
Removing air spawn might ironically buff cas at top tier. Currently, they spawn and have to dive as the air spawn is within spaa range. AF spawn would mean that cas takes longer to get to the battle but it would lead to cas taking routes that allow for them to get there undetected.
I don’t play Air RB so Yes
Depends. A CAS plane such as the F-84 with only dumb bombs and rockets and without any sort of targeting computer or countermeasures can already meet IR SAMs, which greatly outrange it.
Not enough people spawn in spaa or fighter aircraft, not exactly keen on balancing the game based around players refusal to utilize the tools they’re given in order to counter a strong strategy .
This is half the reason right here that I dislike statistics based BRs or nerfs to weapons systems as well based on those same statistics, because generally speaking, the strongest strategies are the strongest because there are few people actually employing the counters to those strategies, case in point; CAS going relatively unchecked because players choose not to check it.
Me taking a point is already a contribution to the team ;).
Having 6 K/D proves that I’m not the burden of my team, people having below 1 are.
What specifically is a skill issue to you?
I don’t know about you, but having 66% WR means you’re winning 2 out of 3 games, which is quite a bit better than average. So either he’s really, really lucky to get good teams more often than not in various nations/tiers, or he is actually helping his team to get those wins.
Someone that’s usually carrying his teams to wins will have at least positive K/D, because making kills in this game is paramount, there’s no arguing about that. Good luck advancing towards the goal while not being able to clear your way with kills.
Seems like your plays are really predictable and one dimensional (aka bum-rush lemming train), not being able to catch people off guard with positioning or outright winning head-on duels with mechanical skill is clearly indicative of someone that’s struggling to perform the core action of this game.
But this is expected from someone that claims you need CAS to clear campers. I guess learning where popular positions are and doing something that will directly counter said positions is clearly too much information to process.
Sorry to break it to you, but as I said above, having <1 K/D is a clear sign you fail to execute the core action of this game.
Dont forget jets are slow after take off zs they eed to build up engine power
Some of us do though, i spawn SPAA 2nd in my line up if i do t get enough SP for air
